    Hellllooooo!!

Well, im 4 days in and i'm finding it quite hard!! I admire your weight loss all the more now. I think i'm starting to adjust though, and i'm getting quite exiced about the yummy things i can cook. Slimming world yummy chips! yay! Only problem is i've only had green days, red ones look to confusing! Now i'm worried i'm eating too many calories in potatoes. I know your not meant to think like that tho!

Any how, in the spirit of positive thinking, I need some new clothes. I'm looking at 18/20. Are there any clothes that are particually good when your losing weight (so i don't have to buy more when i drop that dress size!) or do i just go cheap + belt. lol?

i mostly do green days, its quite rare for me to have a red day as to me my meal doesnt feel complete without pasta/potatoes as they fill me up and i tend to use my heb's for the smaller portion of meat as i can cope with less/no meat ans some of the quorn things are quite nice. ( i love quron sausgaes, sf chips & beans, it feels quite naughty but its not!)

Ive been to the SW website and printed out a recipe for Chilli con Carne. Its a really yummy recipe because its almost the same as one Ive been making for years.

However, it says at the "information" at the top of the recipe that "whether you choose beef mince as a free food or a healthy extra you can enjoy a huge plateful of chilli and a mountain of rice or a jacket potato"

I was under the impression that you could only eat rice on green days as it isn't listed as a healthy extra. Does the rice count as a syn instead?

If you are doing a green day the rice would be free and the mince would be heb
on a red day rice would be sinned as there is not enough fibre for it to be a healthy extra, alternativley you could use quorn mince have a green day and have a big plateful of carne & rice

Thanks for clarifying that bringmeshoes. I was a bit confused by that. I may try both ways of doing it and see which I prefer.

Morning all, I am back and have started over after a few 'bad' weeks.

Last night I re-read my SW mags for inspiration and made a list of the recipes I want to try. I also re-read all the rules and guidelines so I feel a bit more determined.

Thing is, I know the plan works if I stick with it, so why do I end up cheating and sabotaging myself? I'm still trying to work that one out!

I also need to post more here because you are such an inspiring group, with loads of support and ideas.

So, breakkie was scrambled eggs, mushrooms and a HE slice of wholemeal toast with marmite (and it was yummy!)
  • Can anyone help me please? I've just started Sw again 2day & I've had a tub of Tesco Finest Moroccan Style Couscous. Can anyone please tell me the syns? Cals 304, fats 5.625 (sat = 0.9g). Hoping it's not too high! Thanks, Cherry

  • Hi Guys

I had my weight in last Thursday, only a loss of half a pound but better than a gain.

Weekends are always really hard for me, although this weekend I didn’t seem to have much of an appetite and ate very little although what I did eat were high in syns! Although I did manage to go to the cinema and not buy any sweeties!

Speed foods for the rest of the week and hopefully I’ll see a difference on Thursday evening.

I’ve not heard one person mention Body Magic in my group? Is this normal in everyone’s group?
