Well lost 0.5lb tonight. Trying to decide whether to give up and try somewthing else. It worked last time but it just won't work for me this time. Been the same weight for over 2 months. Won't be getting proposed to until I'm at target, so wondering whether to do slim fast for a bit to kick start me again. :(

skint catt..i stuck for about 6 weeks and got really frustrated but all of a sudden things started to move again on the scales. Don't think I did anything particularly different..but I know that frustration and upset feeling. You are doing so well..think of what you have lost :)

I don't doubt that with slim fast you would lose weight but from my experience, you pile the lbs and more on when you stop :(

Plus slim fast is so boring and tastless compared to the wonderful meals that you have been making, which fill you up and keep you satisfied.

Stick in there and stick with us ;)

Thanks fluffynit, its just really getting me down this time. I was just thinking of Slimfast for a week or so to get me under that next stone (2lbs to go though been here before and rebounded back up) then get back to SW. I know SW works, thats the problem - I just don't know why this time it isn't

    Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone
  • It might be easier to work it out this way:
If 1 oz of cooked haggis is 3 syns on red and 4.5 on green, going by the 2007 Food Optimising book, then simply multiply the number of oz by the syns - so 454g or lb is 16oz x 3 = 48 syns on red or 16 x 4.5 = 72 syns on green.

    Hope this helps, Kelly. x

Hello - no WI last night but I did stick to the plan rigidly and had my veggie chilli and nothing else for tea (it was a giant bowl full though!)

I have to take some clients out for dinner this evening (the worst part of my job!) and am wondering what to do with them - I brought more of the free chilli to work with an apple for lunch so I still have 1 B choice and 2 As left to go and of course all of my syns!

Perhaps italian - pasta with a tomato sauce? - would be the best choice - I would usually go for an indian (easy for veggies) but they had one last night.
Any one have any good ideas for "good" meals out for veggies?

I had a wobbly weekend foodwise (well booze really!) and want to try to stay on track this week so any help is welcome!

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knew this weeks Slimming World password?
  • Hello All,

I will be starting SW in September, after my holiday. Have brought a couple of magazines and noticed that fry light is used. I got some on Saturday:eek: and was a bit shocked at the price. I am sure it is easy to make your own so I have just got a plastice spray container from Wilkinsons 49p and wondered if anyone else had made up a solution with water and olive oil? If anyone has, what measure would you use? I am think 1 part oil to 5 parts water, but not sure.
What a lovely thread this is I can't wait to be able to contribute to it!!
