Soooooooooo delighted especially as it was an evening weigh-in instead of my usual 10am one

    hey,

Everybody on here has inspired me, and i'm going to get my bum in to gear and go to slimming world, this wednesday at 5.30pm. I have chickened out for about year... but i really need to do it NOW!

I just wanted to ask some questions, i hope you don't mind:

Does anybody take children. I have a 3yr old and it will be hard to arrange childcare, although i will try for the first one as it seems it takes longer than normal.

    Do you get exercise advice?

Probably how long is a piece of string question, but do you have targets on weekly weight loss like 1/2/3 lbs??

From what i've picked up on here, it looks like there are different plans - is that right - is there one to kick start the weight loss? I feel like i need inspiration?!

Thank you for letting me but in, i'm feeling motivated now (lets hope it lasts!!)

We do have children come to our group - take something to keep them occupied though!

Some groups will talk about 'body magic' - the exercise side of things - and you get awards for the amount you do. No technical advice though!

There are no targets except if you want to set your own - there's no pressure to do anything at speed - everyones different. Sometimes the consultant will talk to each person and say 'so what do you think you want to aim for next week?' and you can take into account meals out, holidays etc. so you can even set a target of +3 etc to limit a busy week away - you see?

The main plan is red and green days. Recently they've added Success Express, Mix to Max and I think another - but even though I've been doing SW for 5 years these are too complicated. To date (two attempts) I've lost 6 stone on just the standard red and green days so that in itself works - you generally lose a fair bit in your first week as your body adjusts (mine was 7lb!). It does slow down which is why we're all here supporting each other.

Do go to your class on Wednesday - I've got mine tonight!
