Hi Rachel - there's a thread with lots of SW recipes here, but take care as some of them were posted a while ago and the syn values and free foods may have changed since then.

p.s. is that your dog in your avatar, and is it a Bichon Frise?

    Hi
    Thanks for the info!
The dog in the Avatar is my little bichon Taffy - he's not that cute or well behaved anymore though!

Was out all day at a customer site yesterday and drove about 7 hours return journey. I was worried about what to have to eat as it involved a pub lunch too but it turned out OK in the end - had my usual cereal before leaving and just a small jacket potato with tuna (without mayo!) and salad for lunch and then some homemade leek and potato soup for tea when I eventually got back. I'm quite proud of myself actually as I'd usually succumb to sweets in the car due to boredom but didn't this time so no syns and stuck to the plan!

We're off again for lunch today with the team from work but we're going to a truckers caff (sounds minging but its a proper fry up sort of thing - yummy!). They will just do beans on toast there so I'll just stick to that instead of the usual egg chips and beans (boo!).

This evening it'll be SW chips to use up some lonely potatoes before they die and maybe a quorn crispy fillet (3 syns I think?).
It's shopping day tomorrow so I'll stock up on more exciting stuff then!

Anyway, better get on - have a good BH weekend!

Is it just me or has it been rather quiet on here lately? Well done to all losers and STS, chin up to those that have been disappointed. Had my WI last night and managed to lose 2 more lbs, I did have a blip last week when I put on for the first time, it was 'only a 1lb' but nonetheless, I was still so very disappointed because I could, hand on heart, say that I had been ridiculously good. I couldn't bring myself to post about it on here until I'd undone the damage. Anyway onward and upwards , this weeks 2lbs off means that I'm just 2lbs away from my 3 st award. I set myself mini challenges/targets and I really wanted to get that award before the end of August but I'm nearly there. Next week is going to present me with some rather challenging situations, foodwise, so I'm going to have to be really careful to stay strong:eek: I'm still very positive though because I've managed to shift (nearly) 3st since April 10th.

I wasn't sure about joining that site when iluvslimming kept recommending it. Is it any good, and have the people who've moved over used the same usernames? Thanks.

It's a great site!I use it and this forum and another one - slimming world support - and find them all useful, and addictive! Some people have the same usernames, some don't.Usually someone always says 'hi' and tells you what they're called elsewhere.I would recommend checking out other forums,it's a bit like pubs, same idea but different atmosphere,IYSWIM?!You can never have too much support, that's for sure!

Thanks for that Kelly. I'll join later tonight or tomorrow when I have time. Someone told me about www.minimins.com and I did go on it for a couple of weeks. There's a lot of support on there, but it's mainly used by people on liquid diets.

Hmm, don't like this one myself - their list of do's and don't put me right off :(
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I felt like that but braved it anyway (after all you can leave at anytime!) and I've a feeling the rules and regs page is only there for admin/legal reasons.I've found everyone friendly and often use capitals and have never been told off for it!
