If I am using the syn calculator to measure M&S Spanish Valencia Orange juice, do i presume that 100 ml is same as 100g when inputing the values IYSWIM.

I think you can actually put mls in when it asks for the serving size?Though,surely orange juice is the same syn value regardless of brand,as long as it's 100% orange juice?

thanks for that..yeah it is the spanish/valencia squeezed orange juice..got as part of the M&S dine for two deal. It is pure juice..not concentrate, not sure if that made a difference.

Anyway..I put in values and seems that 200ml was 4 syns..which is fine!

Again, im sorry to hear you dont like the way the forum is run, there are reasons why its run the way it is and it does ask you post something within one week of joining, whats the point of joining somewhere not to post? i dont know why anyone would do that, but http://slimmingworldclub.niceboard.net/forum.htm isnt the only forum who asks you to post a certain amount of posts before youre let in to see recipes, other forums do too

risotto, do you HAVE to use risotto rice? is this certain rice that doesnt go squishy?

syn free brown sauce

INGREDIENTS

passata - 10 fl oz
neat apple cordial - 4tbsp
brown sweet n low - 2tbsp
mixed spice - 1tsp
soy sauce - 4tbsp
onion powder - 1 tsp
lemon juice - 1tbsp
garlic powder - 1tsp

METHOD

• add all the ingredients in to a pan
• bring to the boil
• simmer until very thick
• cool & serve

syn free red sauce

INGREDIENTS

10 fl oz passata
4 tbsp white wine vinegar
1tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp sweetener

METHOD

• put all the ingredients in a pan
• bring to the boil
• simmer until thickened
• allow to cool

i made two big jars of this yesterday, made it a few weeks ago as a trail run and both son and hubby loved it, its fab on sw chips!

ive tried weight watchers and calorie counting and i cant cope with going hungry, so sw is perfect for me

i swap cream for 100% fat free greek yogurt
cordial for juices
pasatta for tom puree
