    ITALIAN CHICKEN& GRAPE SALAD



    5oz cold cooked chicken
    4oz seedless grapes
    half cucumber cubed
    mixed salad leaves
    sprig of basil to garnish


    For creamy dressing

    3-4 tlbsp of very low fat nat yogurt
    1 tsp leamon juice
    1 tlbsp chopped basil
    2 tlbsp of chopped flat -leaf parsley


    1) Cut chicken into bite size chunks ,place in bowl with grapes and cucumber

    2) Make creamy dressing in another bowl , mix yogurt , lemon and chopped basil & flat leaf parsley together blend well

    3) Then add the dressing to the chicken in other bowl mix well

    4) Arrange a bed of salad leaves on a plate and pile chicken & grape salad on top and sprinkle basil on top and enjoy

    This is great for red days , i also h/b chicken on green days

    TANGY COUSCOUS SALAD


    2oz couscous
    1/4 cucumber
    1 tomatoe
    1/2 mango
    1/2 red onion
    1 tbsp chopped coriander
    1 tbsp chopped mint
    1/2 garlic clove
    1/2 red chilli
    finely grated zest & juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp ground cumin
    salt n pepper


    1) Place couscous in bowl add 3fl oz boiling water , stir and cover for 20
    minutes
    2) Dice cucumber , chop tomatoe ,mango ,onion ,add to couscous with the
    coriander & mint mix well
    3) Make dressing , crush garlic , deseed & finely chop chilli , place in a
    small bowl add rest of ingredients & mix well
    4) Pour over the couscous salad and toss well serve straight away

    LUXURY SEAFOOD JACKET OR ROLL


    2oz pink tinned salmon
    1oz crab or seafood sticks
    1oz peeled prawns
    1 level tsp light mayo ( 2 syns )
    1 tsp very low fat fromage frais
    1 tsp chopped dill
    mixed baby salad
    wholemeal roll or jacket potatoe h/b
    salt n peper


    1) add salmon, crab sticks, prawns to a bowl

    2)mix mayo , fromage frais ,and dill and add to fish

    3) split roll add baby salad and top with seafood mixture , season well ,
    add top of roll


    use wholmeal roll or jacket as h/b



    4) or split jacket add seafood mixture , season well , add side salad and
    lemon wedges

    2 syns for mayo

    Louise, well done on losing 5½lbs, you've done brilliantly, especially as you had a party. :j And Catt, well done. 1lb is good, if you lost 1lb every week for a year you'd be nearly 4st lighter by the end of it. :T

    Hi has anyone tried the new alpine light bar chocolate & fudge , you can have two as a h/b :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: , i lived on them last week .
    The chocolate orange is still my fav , grate for work

    thanks emma , slimming worlds all about not having to go with out and satisfying your appetite , that way you enjoy your food and in the long term it stays off .
    Have a look at recipey books you already have in the house and think about what day they should be on and how to change them to suite you , fresh herbs are great for making even salad better , i add fresh coriander to my salad and its great , don't be scared go for it :j
