Thank you very much. Ok here is what I have had today.

cocopops and semiskimmed milk - breakfast

lettace, cucumber, celery, cheese a bit of primula and slices of cheddar, tomatoes and 2 crackers. Then 2 frubes adna glass of blackcurrant watered down juice - lunch

tea - jacket, marg, cheese and a whole carrot

supper - 1 peice of bread with salmon and vinegar, apple and kit kat.

    Cocopops - syns
SS milk - HEA (but it needs measuring)
Lettuce, cucumber, celery, tomatoes - free food
    Cheddar - 28gms can be a HEA
    Primula - syns
Crackers - could be HEB (if listed in food optimising book)
    Frubes - syns
Jacket potato, carrot - free food
    Marg - syns
Cheese - 28gms could be HEB on a green day
Bread - syns (since you've had all your HEBs)
    Salmon - syns (as above)
    Apple - free food
    Kit Kat - syns

Without knowing the amounts you've had, it's difficult to work out your syns, but as you can see, this isn't an ideal day.

My recommendation would be to get a magazine and have a look at the 7 day menu plan so that you can see how easy it is to make meals.

I hope you're not put off by what I've written - it can be hard to grasp at first, but once you're into it, it's really easy and the foods allowed are tasty and filling.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I've been following slimming world since the beginning of June and had lost half a stone. I say had lost as I started off using some basic mechanical scales I had. When it told me I'd got down to 11 stone 2 pounds I could somehow tell I wasn't that light! I bought some new digital scales and 11 stone 10 on the new scales is 11 stone 3 on the old ones!!! Anyway, I've somehow managed not to let this setback get in the way (meaning I haven't given in to my constant chocolate cravings because of it) and I'm considering it to be a new start.
I've started a blog so I can keep a diary and also a list of syns which are useful to me, please feel free to take a look

Well done Nessa, it's nice to get those stickers :)
I would PM you the password but I have no idea how to, if you point me in the correct direction, I can try to do it.
You should check last weeks password it may still work our consultant told us they last 2 weeks
  • Hello everyone, I joined SW 4 weeks ago and lost 3lbs in the first two weeks, but what with a child with a tummy bug and then work I haven't been for the last two weeks. I haven't stuck to it 100% but have stuck with some small changes like using fry light and only having SW chips but I've had too much alcohol and chocolate and bread and think I have possibly but my 3lbs back on and some more. I'm feeling really rubbish about it today but it is shopping day today and I'm going to buy everything sensibly and try and get back on it ready for going back to class next week.

If anyone has any tips my biggest downfall is something sweet after our evening meal, instead of having something sensible I try and hold off to save having the syns and then end up eating loads of chocolate or cake!!

Hello, playing catch up here as my sister in law had been for a few days and has now taken my two eldest off for 10 days on holiday :j .
So I can plan some really nice meals for me and DH as well as getting all the things done in the house (we just moved and life is a bit chaotic to say the least!).

What are your favourite 'bulk cooking' meals - you know, the ones that you double up on and put in the freezer for another day? I have lots of recipes but None of them are slimming world (eg full fat lasagne dripping with cheese sauce...:o ).

I'm also struggling a bit with lunches as I am so used to sandwiches, and I want to avoid too much bread of course.
Think I'll have some prawn thing today..
  • BISCOTTE - i would say that anything full fat you can adapt to SW principles.try the recipe pages on the SW website and also 99 - 101 on this thread (i think!):D .

as for lunches don't forget about noodles and couscous on a green day and good old roasted veggies on a red to bulk out all the protein.i roast anything that can't run away from me and it always tastes lovely and is very filling.root veg,not just parsnips and potatoes!,comes out much better than the classic med veg imo.i roast swede, beetroot, onions, carrots, pumpkin, even turnips.

and coleslaw,if you're into it,can be made out of very different ingredients to give different textures and flavours.i made some the other day using cucumber, summer turnips, kohlrabi, onion and radishes, all mixed up in a lemon pepper dressing.lovely and refreshing and gets your bowels moving if nothing else!!!!:rotfl:
    :T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T
    :p:D;)Cats are truly evil,like women....;):D:p
    Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone
