Well done to everyone who has lost or sts this week..:j
I stayed the same this week but i know why. I went out for a big lunch with the girls and also had a chinese take away with hubby the night before wi ( i was good though) So i'm trying really hard now to have a good loss this week. I have a friends wedding in 3 weeks and i would love to feela a little slimmer for it.
I'm really in the mood for some exercise but don't know what to do. I quite fancy joining a team or something. what does anyone else do? I tried to get a bike on freecycle the other day but wasn't lucky enough to get it unfortunatley.
Also can soemone pm me the password please now that i'm not goining to group. I really think the site is useful
thanks guys:beer:FLOSSEY :j:j

No, I don't go to class. I have always used this forum when my motivation has been waning.
I am naseaus, so am finding it hard to stick to plan at the moment, but as soon as I settle down I hope to get back on it. I mainly want to maintain a steady increase in weight as opposed to losing any more at the moment

Hi all, just been thinking, with weight watchers you adjust points as you lose weight, therefore eating less the more you lose. On sw, it seems everyone can eat the same amount & you don't eat less the more you lose? Just wondering how it all works & also how you lose weight if eating more than the number of calories a day ya should be in potatoes, pasta etc (I saw a pasta n sauce pack was 400 odd)0

There is science behind it even if we don't quite understand it.
In all honesty you have to forget all you learned with WW as it will not be needed if you follow food optimising with SW.
The foods you are allowed to eat freely tend to have a high satisfaction value (very filling) and therefore they tend to be self-limiting, in other words you can physically only eat so much before you're full.
Please put aside all you know about calories and trust the plan for a week. I promise it will work for you. In fact, SW give a money back guarantee and you can't be fairer than that can you?
As you get closer to your target you can adjust your syns from the original 15 down to 5 per day.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I haven't been regularly posting, but have still been sticking with the plan (mostly). I just have a question. Can you still follow SW when pregnant, if so what changes do I need to make? Thinks like quark I won't be able to eat will I??
Mel x
Congratulations on your lovely news :T
My daughter is also pregnant at the moment and still coming to group. You need to ask your Consultant (if you go to group) for a form to show your midwife.
The plan is not so much a diet as a healthy eating regime which will be great for you to follow all the way through your pregnancy. Once the baby is born you will need to have extra HEs to provide for all your needs.
Meanwhile avoid Liver, high doses of Vitamin A, alcohol, peanuts (especially if there is asthma, exzema etc in the family), limit your oily fish to no more than 2 portions a week, and limit caffeine to no more than 300mgs a day. Avoid soft and blue veined cheeses, pate, partially cooked eggs, unpasteurised milk and their by-products. Make sure that anything re-heated is done so thoroughly and keep within sell-by dates for all foods.
Enjoy your pregnancyI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks Moosetastic,
Good luck with your weigh in. Follow the plan and it will work for you. I look forward to hearing about your loss on monday.
Once you get your head round it its a case of staying focused. Easier said than done sometimes.
I keep thinking ill wake up one of these days and think 'sod it' . thats why im taking one day at a time, even when i have a bad day, which i know i will at some point, it wont be the end of the world. Just hopefully get back and track the next day and not beat myself up about it.
Happy slimmingFLOSSEY :j:j

Evening all,
Flossey, well done on the 2lbs, that's great, and Mel, many congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope the morning sickeness passes soon and you enjoy 'blooming'. How wise of you to carry on with SW - so often it seems to be pregnancy that leads to a huge gain (and keep) of weight - I guess we 'eat for two'!
K66 - I'm hoping this forum helps me get back on track too - let's be focused.
Consultant - as you get nearer to target do SW recommend that you do more exercise or become more active as a compliment to eating less sins? I don't quite understand the whole body magic thing I have to confess, but I try to keep fairly active (no time without kids to do 'formal' exercise though).
I'm hoping for a big boost as my two older children are going away with their Aunty for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can really focus and get into the swing of things whilst i only have to cook for DH and LO (I can try some of the more adventurous stuff in the mags)0 -
Does anyone have the syn value for Tesco's Butcher's Choice half fat sausages?? I forgot to get the password for the website - again - and they're not in the current directory.0
