I was just wonderin if anyone wuz gonna welcome me to the thread :rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on your result (going off your sig) most impressive :T:T:T
Had my 1st bash at the slimming world chips today - did 'em a tad too long (both the boiling bit and the oven bit) but gives me an idea for next time.
One thing I don't get (well lots actually , but that's another story) I had heard that the syns thing if you have just 5 a day you will loose more than if you have 15 syns a day (which sounds logical enough to me) but the lady who runs our class says this is not soso the bit I don't get is ...... why would you only have 5 if you can have 15 and still loose as mush weight
anyone any thoughts ?
thanks again for the welcome:beer::beer:
About the syn thing, i always have 10 and somedays 15. They are there to be used and i dont need telling twice
They have not slow down my loss at all, but once it does i will cut back on them and see if that helps. So far so good.
I think it does depend on the individual some can use them all and some just cant . Think its trial and error sometimes.
I know what you mean about the sw chips.. i know when i first did them a few yrs back they were like brick. You will get it right i promise..

Ha ha they weren't quite like bricks :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: bit crunchy mind
my fault it said to boil for 10 and bake for 20-25 - I boiled for 12 and baked for about 26/27 mins - my oven is fan assisted so may need to back the heat off a tad and reduce the time.
Trishaa - thnaks for the welcome :beer:Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

gosh I was told to boil for 4 and bake for 20 and they've always come out fine. I know it's not good practise but they're fab when you've smothered them in salt!
WI for me tonight & I reckon despite me being really really good all week that I've not shifted a pound. I've been weighing at home & its honestly the same as last week. Now I'm going to dread the WI & I've always looked forward to it...0 -
Good morning all
just had my breakfast , had a big bowl of fruit. I bought a tub of half fat creme freche last week, not suire why, anyway its lovley with fruit. So will def have that again. Must remember to tell dd about it.
Im just about ready to pull my hair out with her. She thinks she is following the plan when she dont eat.. I think she is compensating for the night out she had by not eating properly,
For example yesterday she had no breakfast, tomatoes on toast with egg. And then she took a tin of spaghetti and an apple to work and that was to do her 10 hours. She works nites. Ive tried telling her she needs to eat properly but you know what they are like, they know best. I just hope she sees sense soon!
Well thats my bit moan over with, just had to get that off my chest.
Good luck to all with weigh ins this week. Hope you all do wellFLOSSEY :j:j

Mmm, that's an idea Consultant. We have just moved to a more rural area and the idea of a dog is quite appealing!
Thanks for the recipes Flossey - I guess in the bombay potato you could replace the chicken with chickpeas if you didn't want meat. I am trying to cut right back on meat at the moment although my children and OH are not so keen.
Today I am doing green - WM toast this mornin and then beans + eggs for lunch with a big bowl of fruit and fat free yoghurt - yummy.
Going to play garden hockey with my DS now so that might boost my metabolism a bit!
Have a lovely afternoon0 -

well done FLOSSY,your weight loss has been incredible so far:eek:!thanks for all the recipes you've posted.curry seems to be a big favourite in your house.i think tesco have an offer on charmin loo rolls at the mo if you're running a little low;) ?!i know what you mean about your DD.My o/h is now following SW with me but can't always remember the rules, etc so instead of weighing out a lump of stilton as an hea,he'll say 'oh,i've just used some syns so i better have less dinner!'.no matter HOW many times i tell him he's allowed both stilton and a big dinner if he just weighs the cheese he doesn't seem to believe me!!!:rotfl:
