hello there, i'm a newbie sw member (week2 now) and I just discovered this thread. hopefully you don't mind another person to join you & seek support...
I'm determined to make it work for me - £4.50 a week had better be put to good use, lol.
I tried red days twice and tbh it nearly killed me so i reckon i'll be a green person. since I've discovered those foil supernoodles, golden savoury rice & batchelors pastansauce i reckon i'll be ok. however the novelty is beginning to wear off a little. i can't faff around with cooking properly so if anyone knows of any other instant meals out there that are free on green, please can you let me know?
    Cheers,

PS 6.5 pounds off in week one! :j although I've been told to aim for no more than a pound this week, gutted it won't just drop off overnight.

Did you put it on overnight Katie? Of course not, and it's unrealistic to expect it to come off quickly AND safely. Your health is the most important thing and to keep this you need to expect no more than a loss of 1-2lbs a week as a general rule. If you expect too much of yourself you're far more likely to give up - and put it all back on :(

Another important factor in keeping going with food optimising (which is essentially a healthy eating plan, not a diet) is to eat a variety of food which will help to keep you interested. A diet of instant meals generally contain lots of additives, are more expensive, less filling and don't help to teach you anything about healthy eating. They are ok in the short term, but I imagine you want your weight to stabilise once you've got to target.

There are lots of really easy recipes which fit the plan and don't take for ever to make. Have a look here (scroll down for the SW ones):-http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1948340&postcount=3

Hope this helps. Keep to the Sw plan and I can guarantee it works :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
