hello there, i'm a newbie sw member (week2 now) and I just discovered this thread. hopefully you don't mind another person to join you & seek support...
I'm determined to make it work for me - £4.50 a week had better be put to good use, lol.
I tried red days twice and tbh it nearly killed me so i reckon i'll be a green person. since I've discovered those foil supernoodles, golden savoury rice & batchelors pastansauce i reckon i'll be ok. however the novelty is beginning to wear off a little. i can't faff around with cooking properly so if anyone knows of any other instant meals out there that are free on green, please can you let me know?
    Cheers,

PS 6.5 pounds off in week one! :j although I've been told to aim for no more than a pound this week, gutted it won't just drop off overnight.

    Hi all,
Good to hear of the fantastic results...really encouraging for me.
Not posted much in the last few weeks, but have now had 3 WI weeks.....lost 5lbs, lost 4 1/2 lbs and then put on 1 1/2 lbs this week = a total of 8lbs so far. That's 1 lb below my target of 3lb per week.
My problem seems to be days out, whether with my family or not.
At Biggin Hill, I just didn't have the self discipline, and I didn't do enuff walking around...but yesterday I had a result...I managed to stick to original at Brooklands using frittatta, celery sticks, apples and a B pack of Minis.
But the real secret for me is to be so interested in what I am doing, I don't stop to eat, I graze and carry on the day.
    Thanks for listening,
    Mark T

3 workouts per week = None :embarasse

3lb a week is a huge target to set yourself. You'd be better off aiming for 1 or 2

    Hi Everyone.:hello:

Hope its ok to join this thread.

Do I have to be going to Slimming World? I have been before and have the books and everything. Its difficult though as I work shifts. I have put some of the weight back on and need to shift it. Plus I need some encouragement.

Last week I ate carp as work was so stressful. But I seem to have my determination back. I do go to the gym as often as I can and walk quite a bit. Mum is in a nursing home which is about 20 minutes walk away. Daughter lives equal distance.

So today I hope can be day 1.

    Hi Boddy

Welcome to the thread, you don't have to be going to Slimming World classes, and we have lots of people on here who are 'going it alone'

You will find lots of friendly advice on here
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
