  • Sorry, I know there is the SW support thread but its soooo long its difficult to find the information that I want!

Basically I joined forever ago but then I moved and stopped going. I've still got the food optoimising book from then - January 2004. Is is still the same?

I would love to go to the classes just can't afford to go everyweek, am completely skint hence being on MSE. Is it still the same that if you don't go one week you still have to pay?

Also - are muller light yogurts still syn free?
Can special K ceral be used as a healthy extra b?
How many syn's is a dolmio light spag bol source??

    Thanks for all your help!

  • Hello Everyone,

Nice to catch up with you all again after a week's holiday! Yes, first thing I did when I got back yesterday was check this thread!

I've been staying in an all-you-can-eat type of hotel for four nights and completely ignoring all food optimising. I still had my bran flakes and fruit salad for breakfast and fat free natural yogurt, but from that point onwards it all went very very wrong each day! My scales at home are showing a 2.5lb gain, but my official weigh in is tomorrow night so then I will have to face the music! I've been to Tesco today and stocked up on grapefruits - they may be SS but they aren't magic are they!

I'll let you know how I get on...

    Hi!

Food optimising is the same, but now you get two Healthy Extras A's and two Healthy Extras B's

    Mullerlight is still free :)

You can have 28g of Special K sustain on a B

As far as I know, you still have to pay for missed weeks.

What size of jar is the Dolmio Light?

    fluffynit

p.s have sent you a pm

  • Thanks, so if that jar is to serve 2 people, you'd divide it by two so the syn value will be 4.5?

yeah i was really impressed with her attitude to healthier meals, sensible choices and a wee bit of exercise. I have always admired her and her steady weightloss, but do feel a bit cheated as I thought she was a "normal woman, one of us, trying to loose that stubborn weight".

    ho hum

TV presenter Fern Britton has admitted she had stomach surgery to help her lose weight.

The 50-year-old co-host of ITV's This Morning said she underwent gastric banding two years ago.

In a statement, Ms Britton said she was "very pleased" with the results but added she would not want to influence others to follow her lead.

The procedure helps reduce the stomach so only small meals can be eaten, but gives the impression of being full.

The star, who is married to celebrity chef Phil Vickery, has shed three stone over the last couple of years.

It had previously been reported that cycling, walking a family dog and eating less were the drivers behind the weight loss.

"As I know, many people are interested in my weight loss over the past two years," she said.

"As interest is so high, I am making public, as a personal choice, that I had a gastric band operation two years ago.
"I did this purely for myself and I would not wish to influence others to do the same. But for me it has worked and I am very pleased with the results."
Britton is not the only celebrity to have admitted to having the procedure. Presenter Anne Diamond revealed she too had had a gastric band fitted, but later revealed it had not worked as it was not fitted properly.
Well i think its the presure of seeing herself on telly and being in the spotlight , thats made her do this , i think she looks great and at least she has'nt had it just sucked away like most star do now .
I think if you have the money to put right whats really getting you down , go for it :T :T :T .
I had my boobs down last year , after lossing my weight years ago my boobs went and got me down , so i had a full lift and inplant , now my bodys how it should be, and to be honest i think if i could afford it i'd have the works , peachy x

I really want to get this first stone off so I shall be trying to stay on track. It was my birthday yesterday, and I was sooo good you wouldn't believe. See you in a week's time. Pol.

    morning

I weighed myself yesterday, and thought I had lost a couple of lbs, then last night I went completely mad and had a glass of wine, a packet of Maltesers and a pack of French Fries. Why do I do it

Weigh in tomorrow, and at this rate I'm looking at another gain :o
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
