Thanks gpuss how are you this morning? good weekend?

I was just about to say, Welshy, I've not had a too bad weekend (for the first time in weeks:eek:) as we didn't go out for a meal. I had some choclolate though;) and a few other bits and bobs. I feel exactly like you. If I have a splurge (and I do:D) I don't panic or get depressed any more. I just feel like I'm in control and start the damage limitation tactics the day after.

The prawns in soy sauce were yummy, btw. I also tried the natural yoghurt with a teaspoon of lemon curd in and it was lemon meringue heaven :p - thanks consultant!

Although I've not lost much (I have loads to go:eek:). I seem to have got my waist back a bit and things are fitting that wouldn't only a few weeks ago, so feel really motivated :j.

.....thanks Welsh but that costs even more than a group class (£80 for 3 months IIRC), but doesn't have the benefits of Image Therapy. No way I could justify that - £80 for a graph and syns online.

I think I remember in the past a consultant could tick a "shift worker" box on the weighing sheet?

Welcome ajaxgeezer! If you can't do that, you could always ring up and get the SW directory and do it at home. Loads of advice and recipes on here and some kind person will give you the password to check stuff online. I don't attend a class, but managing to follow the plan (well my version of it anyway:D).

... thanks gpuss. If the directory is the biggest book in the welcome pack then I already have one. I could do my own graph 'n' stuff, it's just the latest syns etc that I was going to join for. That's the trouble with Slimming World - Weight Watchers is so simple you can walk around the shops and count the points up in your head from the calories and sat. fat content, but with Slimming World every food is so specific.

    Morning studentsynner,

Sounds like a good weekend for you 2.

I'm trying the following for damage limitation.........
Munching strawberrys and melon (ss). Lots of sugar free squash and I mean lots on 3rd Pint all ready. About to hit the garden and have a couple or a very long walk later. All in the hope of damage limitation later in the week.

    Don't know if that helps.
    Lots to loose.....
first goal 2 stone (done) , Next target another 1st

    1 and 3/4 lb lost this week TOTAL: 31 and 1/4lb :j

DO YOUR BEST......NO MORE, NO LESS.

I'm trying to do it without a class (haven't been in about 6 years). I find its fine but you must plan your weeks meals before shopping and then if there is something you want to know syns for they are very helpful on here (thank you all again). I have read that people order new directories my phoning. If that helps

You can check the syns with the password online and also the lastest HEAs and HEBs. Some people need the motivation of a class to keep them going, but it is possible to do it without. I'll PM you;)

Oh students are supposed to get trollied and stay in bed all day:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hit the water (squash). Drink loads and loads, go for some speed or superspeed foods today and get in a good walk or some other exercise if you can xx

butternut squash is free on both days and a speed food, I think xx

This thread is brilliant!!:T I am pleased with my weight loss since I joined SW a few weeks ago and all my clothes are much looser. I suppose you have to lose about a stone before anyone actually notices though! I deffo can FEEL the loss myself.

I have just about cut bread right out of my eating - not intentionally TBH but after a few days I felt quite a lot more energetic and realised it was because I'd not had bread at all. As an experiment I chose not to have any for another few days and would you believe, I no longer get indigestion, burping and pain. I was on medication from GP for about the last year because
it was SO bad and now I've not taken any pills for about 10 days and have had no probs whatsoever. How cool is that???:j
