Morning all! Well my body finally decided to release a bit of weight this week! Three and a half pounds!!!!!! I was well chuffed but because of my past experience of one pound on, one pound off, maintain, etc. etc. I asked for it not to be read out, as a I am terrified it will all go on next week!
Thank you consultant 31 for your advice. Yes I will start to vary my diet - in fact it was only last week that I was trying the porridge for lunch routine and was using my 2 hebs so it was very filling.
I had a salad on Friday, with hb eggs and potatos and some of that spray on salad dressing.
Anyway that weight loss has inspired me to keep going now.:j
what's the spray on dressing? is it free?0 -
Hi,
another question or two
What does everyone eat for brekky? I am used to a BIG bowl of crunchy nuts! Fruit and yoghurt doesn't feel very filling.
Also my Asda didn't have the laughing cow extra light triangles (sold out - too many slimming worlders?!) I got the small individual use tubs of philadelphia extra light. Could I use one or two of these instead as a HE? If so how many, and how do I work it out for future ref?
Finally!, the Weightwatchers Fromage Frais - can these count as free food? How do you work out what can be used as free (I understand Muller lights are free too - or are they a syn?).
Thanks a lot,
Woohoo
search for it on syns online - if you can't find it enter the nutritional info into the syn calculator and it will work it out for you.0 -

Hi, its made by Frylight people. It comes in the same kind of pump spray. Two flavours, balsamic vinegear and caesar dressing. I got it from Tesco (online shopping) I think it was about £1.99 but should last for eons.
You could look at it on www.mysupermarket.co.uk
Hope this helps
PS its like frylight 1 cal per spray so essentially free.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.
Well done to all who have lost or maintained.
Happy Birthday Bringmeshoes.
Not posted for a couple of weeks, firstly I had a maintain and then put on 2.5 last week so not happy as I was hoping to be at target by middle of this month. This week I have decided to try Fast Forward to see if that helps and fingers crossed I will have lost some weight at WI on Tuesday.
Ive been baking for the OH and I havent had any (not allowed this week, Fast Forward is like a strait jacket), made him a Lemon Drizzle Cake and some Hobnobs which he tells me are really nice. Not SW I know but I felt happy making them.
Right best I go, take care

Fast Forward was discussed in my group around March time so I think it may be fairly new. Depending upon your age and activity you get given a certain number of units. A seperate little booklet shows what meals you can have. You must have a '5 unit meal' and a '8 unit meal', the remaining units can be used however you like.
When you next at your meeting, ask your consultant about it, Im sure they could explain it easier.
Heres what I had today as an example.
Breakfast; 2 small slices of wholemeal bread toasted (400g) and 2 poached eggs
Lunch; Quorn stirfry with 4oz quorn, 2oz beansprouts, 2oz baby whole sweetcorn, 2oz mange-tout, half a pepper, 1tsp groundnut oil, 2tsps soy sauce & 1tsp fresh ginger (should also have had 2oz broccoli but I dont like it so missed it out)
Tea: Pasta & chunky tomato sauce with 2oz pasta, 7oz chopped tinned tomatoes, 1 small onion, 1 clove garlic, mixed herbs, 2 sticks celery, half a pepper and a 55g pot Cadbury light chocolate mousse (should also have had 6 button mushrooms, 1 medium courgette and 10 olives but again I dont like them).
You also have a free salad/vegetable option (today was 8oz leeks raw weight for my stirfry).
Take care

As you can see, it's totally different from normal food optimising as absolutely nothing is free food - it all has to be measured out.
Generally speaking Fast Forward is only offered to a member as a last resort when he/she is really struggling. I have only ever given it to one member and she lost really well, but admitted she was miserably hungry all the time (after doing normal FO where you're never hungry).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Hi Consultant
Personally I cannot understand how she would feel hungry. I was going to try this a while back but didn't as I thought it didn't look like much food, but once prepared it's loads. I have had the stir fry a couple of times and if I had either leeks or cabbage to it you then get loads. I must admit there has only been 1 evening when I fancied something to pick at but was unable to (wasn't hungry just felt like picking). To be honest, I had to force myself to have my pasta & sauce last evening as I didn't feel hungry.
Today Im having choice B-10, L-63, 66 & free salad & T-20 & 40.MFI3 T3 # 750 -
Hello Everyone
not been on the forums for a long time, i thought it was time to start the old healthy eating again, i did do the slimmers world diet 5 years ago and i did very well on it losing 4st but then i let it slip and the weight came back over the last two years. i weight 17st 6 and i have just started the slimmers world diet again. i have been reading about the lifeline online, would anyone be so kind to share the password via pm so i can see if it is worth attending my local club again and making use of online site.
i wish you all well with your weight loss
kind regards

Fast Forward..............shudder.........I did it once about 4 years ago when I had hit a really nasty plateau. It is only recommended as a real last resort.
You are very hungry on it and really appreciate Food Optimising when you come off it!!!
It is (if I remember) a points system but all the choices available are in a small pamphlet book and the portions are tiny. It's a bit of a miserable 7 days if you really like your food."Stay Wonky":D

Hi Keren29
I must be the only one who thinks there is quite a lot of food. I havent been hungry once on it although I did think my portion of pasta was a little on the small side but the sauce more than made up for it. I had to force myself to eat it last night as I wasnt hungry. The only thing im missing on it is my laughing cow cheeses as I like them. See theres always a little weird one so I must be it.:rotfl:
Thanks
