Bit confused over a few entries in Red day HeB's - wondered if anyone had asked their leader, or even, if Consultant 31 knows??

These are the sort of thing I would use as HeB's on red regularly, but I am really confused - are they typo's, or is there more to it than that?

Anyone know how I define the difference, or which amount is an HeB?

(FF) 100g cannellini beans, boiled weight
(F)(S) 57g Cannelini beans, boiled weight

    also:

(FF) 225g broad beans, boiled weight
(FF)(S) 113g broad beans, boiled weight

    also:

(FF) 113g red kidney beans, boiled weight
(F)(S) 57g red kidney beans, boiled weight

    ditto garden peas 142g/71g
ditto hoummus (reduced fat) on a green day 28g/57g

    HELP!!!!

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hi all, I only joined slimming world a couple of weeks ago, I am really enjoying it although a little concerned as I am not craving chocolate.... I am it appears a recovered chocoholic.

Anyways I have a quick question, Where can I get a sin directory from? my slimming world consultant only sells hifi bars in class, no sin directorys or anything. Can you order from slimming world itself? I have looked on ebay and they are selling for £15.00 plus pp, crazy

    Many thanks

you should be able to order one from your leader in class (no p&p) - it would be with you in a week or two. You can also send direct from SW - details are on the website, but you wuold pay p&p this way.

I agree this is confusing but the answer lies in the symbols at the side.

For instance, 100 gms Cannelini beans is an extra fibre rich food (FF), whereas 57gms can't be counted as extra fibre rich (there isn't enough of it) though it still has fibre and the amount you are allowed also makes it a speed food (S).

    Does that help?

As Angie says, order from your Consultant, it will cost £6.95 and should arrive for the following week. I ordered books for my members on Thursday and they arrived within 24 hours. We have to order in multiples adding up to at least £17.00 to qualify for free p&p so if anyone else in group wants to order any books, try to talk them into doing it at the same time (it'll make your Consultant much happier, lol).

I may have invented this, if not, it was quite nice and I think would make really nice ice lollies if frozen but is lovely as a dessert too.

    I tub quark
    sweetener to taste
sugar free Cresta Strawberry milkshake mix - I used about 4tbs again to taste

Blend all together. I served it with some 2% Total yogurt which is only 0.5 sin the whole tub. Nice and creamy. That half a sin makes a lot of difference to the 0% Total which I find a bit bitter.

I am going to try mixing the Total with the Quark and mix the Cresta to taste and make some lollies.

I tried the chocolate cake made fromAll Bran that you make in the microwave and I half liked it. Would probably prefer to use my syns on a small bar of real chocolate.

  • Hope you dont mind if i gatecrash.

I found you by chance and as ive joined slimming world 4 weeks ago i thought id gatecrash.

    first week lost 4.5 lbs
    second week lost 4lbs
third week put on 1 lb
    fourth week lost 3.5 lbs

So have lost 11lbs in total.

Feel so much better for it and ive stopped craving chocolate which i never though id be able to give up.

Well done to all those that are doing this as well.:T
  • Not sure if its been mentioned before but if you put bananas in the freezer in a plastic bag, when its frozen it tastes like ice cream. Not tried it yet but some of the others had and said it tasted really nice.

    Does that help?

So, as an option B, I would be allowed to select whether I eat 100g or 57g (for example) of cannelini beans? Whereas, for the majority of option B foods, it is essential that I eat the full portion?

I guess this would be to my advantage if I were focussing on 'speed' foods in order to 'boost' my weight loss??

I have not been advised in class anything about F or FF (or C CC for that matter) symbols (I do know what they stand for!) - are they simply there for our information, or am I supposeed to be making choices based on this information?

Ditto Speed foods - nothing has been mentioned, but I have read all the information, and obviously I pick up lots of stuff here - have I got the gist of this correct?

thanks for your help - it is appreciated C31 :A
