Im so excited i lost 1lb!! :j To get myself motivated and even more determined to crack on with this diet i have bought a count down! it is 6 weeks until i have to go bridesmaid shopping with my sister and so i want to lose as much as possible! Really hope this works as i am fed up of falling off the wagon! (both food and drink!)
Total wight loss 9.5lbs0 -
Just a quick one....How much are you spending a week on food shopping doing this diet? I'm finding my shopping bill is getting bigger and bigger (hopefully tummy is going to get smaller!)
I am also trying to keep a tight rein on food bills at moment! I do think it adds up if you buy a lot of Mullerlights and Alpen Lights and so on (as I did a lot when I started!). I am a Tescophile so I've been buying lots of the Tesco value stuff. Tesco value baked beans on Tesco value toast! Tesco value tinned spaghetti is free on green. Tesco value mushy peas are superspeed! I have bought Tesco value apples, pears, bananas, oranges, onions etc and they are all very good. Lentils are great for green. Something I do (and the kids eat it too!), I fry an onion in frylight, then add 12 oz of dried red lentils (rinse them first but no need to soak), add some dried herbs and one and a half pints of vegetable stock and boil for about 20 minutes. You can have this with rice. Don't be tempted to just use water as I do think you need the flavour of the stock to make it work. Very quick and easy and very cheap!0 -
Totally off topic but are any of you on Facebook????? If you are, PM me your "real" name if you don't want to put it on here and I'll add you as a friend!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. madsmum - I found SW expensive at first, but when you get to know it you can change a few things. I used to buy a lot of Batchelors Pasta n Sauce (expecially the tomato one) but I found that Tesco Value tomato & onion pasta n sauce is free on green - same with their value golden vegetable rice. Tescos own Ravioli in tom sauce (not beef or cheese) is also free on green so I no longer buy Heinz.
I spend a max of £150 a month for two of us (OH is more or less doing SW too!) inc cleaning and toileteries.

MM
ps If someone could be kind enough to PM me with the password for the SW website I'd be very grateful :-) Not going to classes due to money being very tight at the mo.
I think I'm spending more. Definitely buying loads more fruit. Raspberries are £2.99 a punnet in Sainsburys and I've been known to eat them all in one sitting with a vanilla Muller on top!!!!
Not buying booze helps, though - hubby & I used to get through 3 or 4 bottles of wine a week, and a litre of whisky every 2 weeks not to mention cans of cider as well - thankfully diet tonic and coke zero is a bit cheaper!!!!We’ve had to remove your signature.
