  • Has anyone tried the Asda brand? Had them over the weekend. They were scrummy. Only 3 sins for the whole bag on a Green Day. There were about 20 in the bag. I dry fried them and added a tin of thickly chopped tin toms with chilli and 1/2 jar of Passata with loads of spaghetti. The OH ate his and 1/2 of mine. I was too tired to eat. They are well worth trying. PF
  • As far as I'm aware the only difference is that you're lilkely to drink a glass full of orange juice, pineapple juice, strawberry juice or any other sweet fruit juice, but highly unlikely to have more than a few mls of lime or lemon juice and probably then only if mixed with water or soda.

    Grated zest would be syn-free.

this is the recipe. does it sound ok?is it ok to use a whole cup of splenda? was wondering if there was only so much you could use before it became synned? also was a bit concerned cos 10 lemons sounds a lot to be free.

    lemonade/limeade recipe

    6 cups water, divided
    Zest of one lemon/lime
    1 cup splenda
    2 cups fresh lemon/lime juice (about 8 - 10 lemons)
    Lemon slices, optional

In saucepan, bring two cups water, lemon/lime zest, and splenda to boil. Boil five minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and let cool. Pour into large pitcher. Add four cups cold water and lemon/lime juice. Stir to combine. Chill in refrigerator two hours. Pour into glasses and garnish with lemon slices, if desired.

    Quick question for you all,

I am having a green day tomorrow, and for tea I am planning cous cous, veg, hm free hummous etc etc and using my heb, lamb kofta....

Being an heb, I only have 85g mince per person to play with......has anyone MIXED meat mince with quorn mince to 'pad it out' a bit...... do you think it will work??? I don't have experience of working with quorn mince, so don't know how it will hold together..

Thanks for any thoughts on this xx

    hi angie,
i've mixed it with beef mince in chillis, cottage pies, etc but never tried it in burgers or anything.i would suggest defrosting it first then mixing it in well with your hands, maybe with an egg too if it seems dry.let us know how you get on.

I see what you mean, but what can you subsitute for yogurt. I already eat fruit for between meals, for example banana in morning and satsuma for afternoon. I eat strawberries/raspberries, kiwi, grapes when I can, What else can I have that's a bit sweet for afters??? Would appreciate your input for low syn dessert?

Also started walking half an hour a day.

go to page 161 and see my post of 6:52pm. i did a meal planner for the week and included some low syn desserts.

    Morning all,

well day went to pot yesterday after my plans... so porridge for breakfast, white sub roll with cheese and mayo (YUMMY) forgot how nice white bread is How many syns???? 2 alpne light bars and some bananas didin't have time for anything else. Trying for a better day today..

    Red.
Porridge and milk (HEB and 1/2 HEA) with golden syrup (2 syns)
    Bacon and tom omlette
Gammon and egg with wedges (HEB)

Edit: 13 syn for roll and 6 syns for cheese plus HEA so 19syns oh yes and mayo light 2 tbsp so 4 syns. That makes 21! was lovely better munch my way through a melon today.

TOP TIP: if you want cheese to go further and don't want to grate it. A veg peeler does lovely thing slices and makes it look like loads.

    Hi everyone

Hope you don't mind if I join in. I joined my local class last night so feeling very motivated. I lost 2 stone dieting and exercising on my own last year but despite going to gym 4 times a week I'm struggling to shift any more and I still have a few stone to go so thought I needed the support of a club.

So this morning I am sitting eating a delicious bowl of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries with a Mullerlight yoghurt for breakfast. Haven't had chance to read through this thread yet but I do plan to.

Could someone pm me the password for the website please. I'd like to have a look at it but our class leader didn't mention a password last night. Thank you.
