ahhh! I'm drinking more, but probably not enough. I'm breastfeeding too, so need to drink loads. I do feel a bit bloaty - my normal jeans were tight to do up this morning. I was hoping they'd start feeling looser, not tighter! I'd better start drinking more then.

    Thanks :)
  • Hello there.....Just joined this forum today, so hi to everyone and have read some great encouragement already.

I've done slimming world in the past and know that it does work when you stick to it, and so I'm going to give it another go again !!! I just want to do it myself this time and will get hubby to come onto it with me, and so the encouragement that you get here will hopefully keep me on track.........I remember buying hi-fi bars at the class and loved them as I used them for a morning coffee and again in the afternoon if I felt like something sweet, but I've been looking around in the shops etc and can't find them anywhere........Is there anywhere that you can buy them if you are not attending a class?? thanks to everyone in advance

  • :hello: Hello Everyone!

I have been reading the last 50 or so pages..... so feel that I know you all better than my own group! :D You all seem like fun, so I thought I'd join you all for a bit of between-the-class moral support. Hope that's OK....

I joined SW last wednesday, and have been getting my head around the plan - it seemed quite complex at first, but I think I am getting the hang of it now. I am going to the classes, OH is joining in from the comfort of home.

I have found that generally I am finding green days easier, but, saying that, it is red day today..... I do try to save all my syns for a large glass of wine (or two) each night. I think I have done quite well, friday night was a sucess, me and OH went out to a lovely restaurant, the normal damage would have probably got to about 100syns (or more!), so keeping it at 24, whilst over the limit, seems to me like a good thing...other days I have towed the line and been a very good girl :A

 So a question, as I am here, lots of you mention sausages on red days as being free, is this any type (heres hoping), only lf ones or homemade ones??
  • Welcome hippychick & angie

I dont know about sasuages (no man! hehe) as i always do green days, I have heard everyone talking about morisons ones on here tho & im sure someone will confirm later on. Re HiFi bars, you can only get these in class however Alpen light bars are just as yummy & you can have 2 as a HEb! Often on offer in the supermarkets at 2 boxes for £3, sainsburys & tesco at the mo & you get 6 in a box.

I had WI tonight & put a pound on *sigh* Iv had quite a messed up week, sadly. Iv got a leaving do, not mine, on friday & my best friend bday & we're goin for chinese on saturday! Oh heck! Really wanna enjoy myself but dont wanna be upset come WI, I will drink vodka & diet coke when I am out & as long as i try & be sensible with the chinese I hope *crosses fingers* there wont be too much damage!! Avoid prawn crackers & fill up on rice with a lil bit of everything else, its been so long since I went for a chinese tho.....
fed up tonight, we need another shock the scales week...It really did work, come on girls & boys, we can do it again!
Lots of free food & water, thats gotta do us good!!

The only sausages which are free are Morrisons East Smart Pork chilled (8) for £1.55. The frozen aren't free. Bowyers are 0.5 syns each I think, but not sure which varieties.

Hi Angie and welcome to the mad house:jand welcome to hippy chick too!

These are the Morrisons sausages that are free on a red day, but make sure you get the chilled ones not the frozen, which aren't free (for some reason?):

Morrisons Eat Smart Diet, Pork Sausages, Less Than 3% Fat, 8 pack, chilled 57g each

The only place you can get Hi-Fi bars other than class is ebay though I think they're expensive there! At class they are £1.25 per 3? Alpen Lights (inc the choc one) you can have two as one HEB - not as nice though!
