    Hi Everyone:D

Have just joined on line. Am a bit confused:confused:
Do I stick to red for four weeks or just red for one day then green for the next ?
    Thanks:o

You can do whatever suits you best, you can do all red days, all green days or alternate. I plan my day around my evening meal - if it is going to be meat based, then I have a red day, or if it is pasta, or rice, then I have a green day.

Hope this makes sense, but if not, keep asking, there are lots of people on here who will help

It really is easy once you get the hang of it, good luck
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Thanks.
I think I will start with a red day tomorrow. How does everyone plan the food shopping ?

glitterpink, I found it a bit confusing as first too and until I came here I had noone to ask (I'm a slimming Billynomates!). If you don't eat a whole lot of meat the green seems a good option because the healthy extra 'b' choices on green days are really quite large (113g of chicken is almost a breast for example). I found the sins difficult and ended up using them for everyday stuff instead of treats until I got used to low fat cooking and adapting recipes. Keep asking questions because there really is a wealth of knowledge here.

That said I've sinned like crazy tonight but had a really lovely supper - Welshnutta, the asparagus soup is really delish! The tofu (not something I'd usually use) really makes it taste very smooth and creamy and it's free on both plans - so i think the whole soup must be free unless there's a sin or two to be added for the stock? I have planns now for a similar broad bean recipe as I have a bag of those in the freezer. I had some prawns also (just 6 or so) with a little bit of (full fat:eek: ) mayo and some wine (my favourite type and yummy) and also (hangs head in shame) two ity bity bits of cheese. But I now feel very good, not full or 'bingy'.

You can do any combination of days glitterpink - whichever you prefer or just mix n match.

Add: the only meat I really eat is with my evening meal (or sometimes a cooked brekkie) so greens easier for me as I can have ANY veg and my meat as my HE, Sorry prob confusing you now! Its just some veg is not free on red.

I have been really, really bad today.

But in my defence, I am feeling low (very low) and to top it all, my laptop is on the verge of packing in....the screen looks like a multi-coloured barcode!! So, back to sharing the main computer with dh again.

To be honest I feel close to crying....and I am not usually a crying person. I will try and follow the plan for the rest of the week...but I am not expecting miracles!! I think I will go and get a bath soon and try not to drown myself.(don't worry I would never do that to my boys)
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Well I am going shopping tomorrow so any tips on what to buy would be very helpful.
I work five days a week so have to take in my own lunch any tips on what is good to take in??

    hi

does anyone have a low syn recipe for a pizza base - i've figured out how to do the toppings for free, but am struggling for a base - best i can think of is asda mix @ 5syns per quarter pizza.

also, does anyone have a spring roll recipe?

    thanks in advance.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

If you have a microwave at work the list is endless.

I used to pack an extra plate on a sunday for lunch Monday, homemade soups are a good one also. Try the leek and potato, is gorgeous. As a quick snack i used to keep some crispbreads/ryvitas in the cupboard with the occasional tin of ravioli and some laughing cow cheese triangles.:D

Oh redmel, I'm sorry you feel bad. Sounds like a nice hot pampering bath and an early night would do you good - pick up the plan again tomorrow and don't beat yourself up about it.
