I've been in hiding. I didn't go last week.I knew i'd put on this week but thought that if I don;t go back, then I never will. I'd put on 4lb in 2 weeks! But it was my TOTM too. I've been very good this week so hopefully i'll have lost the 4lb again. I haven't changed my siggy line, as i'm sure I have lost it.

Btw, I can now pull my jeans down when I go to the toilet, without unfastening them! :D They used to cut into me.

does anyone have a low syn recipe for a pizza base - i've figured out how to do the toppings for free, but am struggling for a base - best i can think of is asda mix @ 5syns per quarter pizza.

also, does anyone have a spring roll recipe?

    thanks in advance.

Boltonangel, this is a bit of a strange one but might be worth a try! Polenta is free on green (sorry if it was a red day pizza you were making!) and there is a way of making a pizza base out of it. You need a 250g pack of quick-cook polenta (make sure you don't get the type that's already cooked) and cook it with water, following the instructions on the packet. The recipe I have says stir in 2 oz (50g) of grated parmesan but you could adjust that or miss it out according to whether you wanted to use your HEA (28g parmesan) or not. I think the parmesan is to give it a bit of a flavour as polenta itself is quite a bland flavour. I think you could try cooking it in water with a bit of stock powder added (or jar Bovril, maybe, which is free) which would improve the flavour. Anyway, when its cooked spread it out in a 28cm (11") circle on a non-stick baking tray sprayed with frylight and leave it to firm up for 15 minutes. Then you just put your toppings on and bake it in the oven until the toppings are cooked. By the way, if you like pesto, Sacla tomato pesto is only 2 syns per tbsp which I think is well worth it!

Oh Mel, don't beat yourself up - I have been really bad for the past couple of days - no idea why, I just feel like a naughty child who is rebelling :p

We had a Chinese last night and if I had just stuck to the chow mein I would probably have been OK, but I had a starter of ribs, sesame toast and chicken satay, and this morning I have put on 1 1/4 lbs. At this rate I will have gained by weigh in on Tuesday. Tonight will be a bad night as well as we have an Indian curry from Asda

S*d it, it's only a diet and the world won't end if I have gained this week. I will go back to being good tomorrow, honest :A

    Good Morning,

Well done Jackie B for getting back to it:j and at least it is only 4. You could have waited and waited and put the lot back on so give yourself a big pat on the back and you'll shift the weight in no time.

To finish my yummy day of food I had strawberrys. They were from tesco's.... can I suggest you bipass the £1.49 ones and gave the organic ones on offer for £1.99, they actually tasted like strawberrys, still not as good as the british ones in the summer tho, so role on the summer!

    Today.... green

Porridge, chopped apple and milk (HEB)
Jacket potato, beans and cheese (HEA)
Sausage casserole from nov/dec mag wich is lovely and half a sin. Probably pile veg too:D.

Good luck to those who have WI today
    Lots to loose.....
first goal 2 stone (done) , Next target another 1st

    1 and 3/4 lb lost this week TOTAL: 31 and 1/4lb :j

DO YOUR BEST......NO MORE, NO LESS.

  • Well I had a good night with my friends last night, went to the Chinese restaurant, I had ONE prawn cracker and felt so guilty I didn't have any more, then a lot of noodles and a small portion of chicken in black bean sauce. Drank diet coke and black coffee so think I did quite well.

Going to have 2 red days now before WI on Monday morning because although I love being able to eat lots of rice, noodles, etc I feel I need a couple of days of meat and veg and fruit to make up for last night!

Good luck to everyone over the weekend. Be strong and have faith in yourselves - you CAN do it!

    Hi everyone.
My dh is following plan with me and he tends to have green day when at work, as there is so much more he can take as packup.
Mug shots, salads, cottage cheese and veg sticks, fruit, sandwiches filled with egg, cheese triagles, boiled eggs, he also has a food flask and sometimes takes, baked potatoes and beans, pasta bakes, quorn shep pie ect.
Then he has lots of yoghurts for snacks.

I am planning next weeks meals and think i may give mix to max a go on some days, my consultant spoke about it this week and told us that it must go red, green, red or green, red, green for brekie, dinner, tea.
So may try it on a few days and see how it goes.

I write out all my meals for the week, make a list up of everything i need to complete these meals, then cross off what i already have in, then the hard bit go shopping and stick to the list!!!! But it means i dont have to keep popping to the shops for things and stop the temptetion on buy things i dont need.

Doing the fishcakes from the Mag today for tea, i will let you all know later what they are like.
    Be good!
