Hi all,
Hoping you experts can help!
It is office tradition to bring in cakes, biscuits etc when it is your birthday, but practically the whole office (apart from me!) is on slimming world. Not bringing in something or bringing in fruit has been deemed unacceptable!
Please can you recommend low sin ready made goodies or some easy low sin recipes that would keep everyone happy?
Hi there have you seen my recipe for the chocolate scan bran cake only 9 syns the whole cake, cut each one into 9 bars , only 1 syn each! I think it is quite a way back in the forum now, surprisingly nice cake.0 -
Just had to pay catch up, not been on for 2 nights, tons to read up.
Well it is WI day tomorrow, (er today now!!!! ) this will be my 2nd one, only lost 2 1/2 first time , really dissapointed!! I have been an absolute angel :A all week, didn't even have a single syn today, just didn't feel the need, I was satisfied with all my free food.I had a gorgeous shep pie tonight, really filling. Kept up the walking , then last night had a baaaad migraine was brewing all day, didn't have my walk as felt to bad, though been out for 30 mins tonight and done 10 mins on my manual treadmill earlier this afternoon, cor with that incline it really is hard work, harder than normal walking. If I have a bad result tomorrow I am going to be one very, very unhappy bunny!!:(
Taken the advice of drinking loads ,Iam on the loo though all the time, still it means I am being really cleansed and getting a good flush out. Hope it has worked , wish me luck , I must reach my 1st stone for my holiday, only 5 weeks 2 days left, yippeee!!!:j0 -
melly, can't believe you're disappointed with such a good weight loss!ask yourself, did you feel hungry/unwell/unsatisfied last week?but you still lost weight!how much would you have GAINED if you stuck with your old eating habits?! .you've done brilliantly and must stick with it.it didn't take only 1 week to put on so it won't take only 1 week to get rid of it either!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mornin all:wave:
Well I actually feel as if I've lost (might be the 3 trips to the loo yesterday) and got on the scales this morning (know I shouldn't) but I'm 2 lbs lighter - woohoo:jJust hope I can keep it off for wi next week (not changing my signature until then).
A tip I have is to have drink a glass of cold squash or whatever water-based you like first thing. I started doing it and now I realise how thirsty I am when I get up and look forward to it. Then I put the kettle on of course...;)
Last night we had pasta. I used 2 pasta and sauces (cheese and broccoli), cooked some wholemeal pasta, with some frozen broccoli florets and added that to it. A sprinkling of parmesan on top and it was fab, and very filling.
Thanks to everyone for telling us about all the Tesco offers, am jotting them down for when I go tonight:T
Good luck everyone xxx:smileyheagpuss0 -
 i keep water by my bed so it's handy if i wake up in the night thirsty, and i always keep a glass of water in the lounge regardless of what else i'm drinking, and a glass in the kitchen!just find it easier to keep sipping, topping up,if it's in my face all the time, helps remind me that i should be drinking it,not that i ALWAYS do manage to of course but it's the thought that counts, isn't it?!:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T

DLB - you're really right on it this weekend.well done.can i ask what you sell on ebay,is it just stuff you don't want anymore?moving tomorrow and want to know if it's worth while me keeping hold of the better stuff i'd be giving to charity shops and floggong it instead?
i went out last night but stuck to my syns, well nearly, had 16 but stuck to mainly superfree and a bit of green free foods.when we got back we had curry!free and homemade, out the freezer,in the micro and into our bellies.really into batch cooking, makes life soooooo much easier AND guiltfree.i just write a label in red or green ink and how many syns or if free for that day.got mountains of healthy, low syn ready meals now,it's fab!:T :j:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p
