evening everyone, nice to read all the posts and thank you for the recipe Consultant 31 - it looks delicious.
I've had another green day here and I think I got it about right. A stir fry with sinned noodles (straight to wok by Amoy) and a HEB serving of chicken, 42g Camembert (HEA) for lunch. Then tonight I had potato wedges (made with fry light), baked beans, carrots and broccoli and 4 teeny tiny meatballs (probably 30g of mince so a portion of another HEB). For drinks I've had water and coffee and now it;s a herbal tea before bed.
As I understand it correctly you can have 2 HEA and 2 HEA each day. So on a green day that could be four portions of cheese (as cheese is also HEB for green) but on red days the HEB are all pulse/carbohydrate (or HEBs which are common to both). Do you HAVE to have all the healthy extras?
Anyway I had some chocolate sins too - a small packet of buttons - yummy!

The Robinsons Fruit and Barley is free. Not sure about others - I don't drink that much squash!
  • Inspired by Peachy's rice pudding recipe (posted ages ago, try using the thread search tool!) I bought some pudding rice and noticed the recipe on the packet involved baking it in the oven rather than doing it on the hob like Peachy's. It says to use 2 oz (56g) rice, 1 oz (28g) sugar (substitute sweetener) and 1 pint (568 ml) of milk. You can also add nutmeg or cinnamon if you like. You just put the whole lot in a shallow ovenproof dish, give it a bit of a stir and put it in the oven at 160 degrees for about an hour. The rice and sweetener are free on green and you can use the milk as your HEA. It gets a bit complicated then because it depends on which kind of milk you have, but I have semi-skimmed (142ml is a HEA) so by my calculations I can have a quarter of this and use only 1 HEA.

I cooked it in the evening and ate it for breakfast which meant that I saved a HEB and it was nicer and just as filling as my usual weetabix! :D

I love rice pudding and since the receipe appeared on here I've had the rice in the cupboard and the yoghurts in the fridge - but haven't got round to it! Might be better for me to make it when I start my new job next month as I'll have more time! Sounds gorgeous.
  • catt-i'd go back to the doc and tell him(just guessing!) you want to change back.your bmi will inevitably get higher if your hormones ain't in order so that's shooting yourself in the foot really.from personal experience it's virtually impossible to lose weight when your hormones are GENUINELY unbalanced.if he doesn't agree ask for a second opinion at your surgery or simply go elsewhere!

    Evening all,

After being so good all week to loose 3 lb this morning. Have had a nightmare of a day. Started well as had fruit salad and yoghurt. Out all day called in cafe with very limited choice. Had a Panini with bacon and brie (the only thing I fancied, SO BAD!). At mother in laws (MIL) for tea and had some lamb concoction with loads of free veg, think it was fairly healthy as she too was trying to loose weight. Thought I had been bad so would round it off with a glass of wine but have resisted and said enough is enough. Had a diet coke and a pair instead.

    Plan for tomorrow - red

    Breckie - porridge + milk 2 HEB
Lunch - pizza omlete with cheese and ham HEA
Dinner - Chicken breast stuffed with 1 desert spoon of garlic and herb light philidephia (2.5 sin for 28g) so call that 2.5 sin. Wrap this in two pieces of bacon and then filling plate with free veg and some cabbage the MIL insisted I had.

    Does that sound ok?

Skint Catt - my Aunt goes over once a year with an empty suitcase and goes mad shopping because it is so cheap. So just imagine how much more clothes you will be able to fit into your case because you WILL be buying skinny clothes.
    Lots to loose.....
first goal 2 stone (done) , Next target another 1st

    1 and 3/4 lb lost this week TOTAL: 31 and 1/4lb :j

DO YOUR BEST......NO MORE, NO LESS.
