I tend to get the munchies this time of day. Kids are fed, hubby isnt home until between 7 and 8 so I dont have my dinner until then.

This is the time I used to be reaaaaaaly baaaaaaad and eat biscuits and chocolate but I'm eating fruit now. Just had a nectarine, a red pear (my favourite) and a couple of Laughing cow light triangles as I've not had any HEAs yet today
try eating a alpine light bar you get 2 for a h/b , thats what i do

Have got my roast in the oven - it's chicken but as I'm on a green day (finishing off last night's macaroni cheese for lunch) I shall use the meat as a HEB and have plenty of potatoes and parsnips. Got some lovely strawberies and raspberries for dessert too - see, I'm trying to superspeed. Have been good today so far!

I've been lurking for a while now (well hiding really after my hols!).

Today was the day to re-start for real... I was doing really well until I got to work (at 9.30am!!) to be greeted with a drawer full of chocs from the birthdays I had missed while i was off work

I was not good and even though I had a bag full of fruit, I was unable to resist a Twix (single finger) and a Sainsbury's mini choc brownie  .

I'm not going to get dis-heartened though and now am going to have my planned dinner of Quorn sausage, mash and beans.

Tomorrow will be a better day :rotfl:

well i've drunk 1litre of water and 1 1/2 litres of very watery squash so far and 4 cups of tea.....

I will get some more water in later, after cycling and sit-ups.

Red day tomorrow, i've not had a red on a work day yet, so will be interesting. Now I must go and get some studying done last assignment and an exam to go for this year.

I've just written down in my food diary what I'm going to eat for dinner tonight and in total today, I will have had precisely one Syn!! (0.5 for a splash of milk in my tea first thing, and 0.5 for a bit of dressing on my salad). After what I've got planned for dinner (large jacket potato, 28g cheese, baked beans, large salad, fresh fruit & Muller light for dessert) I don't think I'm going to want to eat anything else tonight!!

As I'm going out for a Chinese on Friday, can I "save them up" or do Syns expire at the end of each day like HEs??

I'm being naughty. OH isn't home til 8pm and I can do with the extra £5 this week so I'm not going to class tonight. I've weighed myself and put on 1lb again (grrr all those sauces at the weekend  I've been very good otherwise!)

Had egg and beans for brekkie, Alpen bars and banana for snacks, noodles for lunch, and we've got free Quorn Curry and rice for dinner, so starting as I mean to go on this week, Can't wait until I start my new job next month - I'll be able to pop home to cook things midday instead of struggling for free lunches (took the noodles in a thermos but they were mush by lunchtime!

The old way was to save them up - but SW decided this meant people were restricting themselves then binging, so they changed it - you can still have up to 15 a day every day but then have a flexible syns day when you go out but still keep track. i.e. work out what you think is a reasonable allowance - say 40 - and stick to it. It makes you aware of what you're still eating instead of blowing everything. Then the next day just get back on track with up to 15 again.
  • i think you used to be able to save them up years ago but this led to abuse apparently(?!),though the powers that be seem to change their minds every year so maybe you can again now!!!!i don't go to class anymore cos both the consultants i had at 2 different venues were less than inspiring, shall we say?!i think from last years book you just do nuetral or free foods all day then try to stick to that colour, set yourself a higher syn level for that day.easier said than done if it involves alcohol!

Flexible syns are the way to go for nights out, and ask for the food the way you want! Your paying for it ,so if you want your chicken without sauce or salad without dressing ask for it. You choose not to have it there way but have it yours.
