ps, my quorn curry that I made the other night from sw mag was horrible, I dont think its a bad recipe just think I totally messed it up! Whole pan full went in bin and then I ate things I shouldn't cos I was so fed up!! Lesson learn't!!

Oh Choccie thats terrible! We make a lot of SW curries (with Quorn) and they've all been fab. Don't let it put you off!

Thanks Catt, thing is I dont like things too spicy so I just used a Korma powder with a few chilli but all I could taste was the fromage frais!

Have brought quorn mince and meatballs (frozen) this week, any ideas for these?

Off for a nice walk in a mo:j

Hi - only been doing SW since Thurs and am doing OK. But I have been rushed off my feet and this might sound feeble but I haven't got time to keep flicking through the books. Like yesterday I bought some of those Ryvita Goodness bars and I can't find how many Syns they are. Anybody tell me please?

I had only been having 2 or 3 syns each day and was told I can have 5-15 so thought a packet of these do for special occasions.

Having Chilli Mince and rice for lunch, followed by fresh fruit salad. Breakfast was skimmed milk, banana and Honey Nut Shredded Wheat (28g isn't much is it?? )

    Hi Pennylane - Welcome.

Ryvita Goodness bars are 3 Syns each All varieties (not luxury though) OR you could choose to have TWO as 1 x HEB.

Oh great:j thanks Mollies Mum, I think I will give that a go on Saturday, I will have to go shopping for the pesto sauce.I will make that a green day, gonna do red for my first day tomorrow.

if you buy sainsbury's low fat green pesto it is only 1 syn per tablespoon. just as nice as regular pesto and the jar isn't full of oil.

    Hi Choccie

If you would like a good curry, try the following.

1st choose your meat, chicken, quorn, whatever you fancy.

    1tsp of corriander
    1tsp of cumin
    1tsp ginger
    2 or 3 garlic cloves
    1 onion
500g passata, you could use tinned tomatoes
    Salt to taste
    Low Fat natural yoghurt
    1/2 pint stock from bovril

crush garlic and mix with spices, had half the spices to meat or quorn.
Meanwhile add chopped onions, rest of garlic and spices into frying pan and cook until onions soft, (you may wish to also add mushrooms and peppers)
Next add your coated chicken or quorn and cook.
Then add passata or tomatoes, warm through then add the stock a bit at a time. (I don't add to much stock as I like the sauce to be quite thick)
When the curry is done add some natural youghurt (small yougurt size pot is plenty) warm through and serve.

If you use quorn it is totally free or use meat as HEB on green day.

    Hello!

I am a newbie MSE forums, and have just found this thread so wanted to say Hi! :D

I joined SW in Feb and have so far lost 10.5lbs so am really pleased! It is very difficult to stay motivated 24/7 but I am finding it quite easy to follow and stick to!

So good luck to all my fellow SW'ers!
