Welcome hels102,
This is a smashing forum, a place for some support, advice or just natter.
I prefer green days because I like my food and lots of it, I feel happier eating carbs.
I now have about 7lbs to lose as I have lost 1 stone since Jan.
I had yoghurt and summer fruits for b/fast - I use the smoothie frozen fruits. Then baked beans and a poached egg.
For lunch I made SW chips with fajita spices and fry light.
Tea was roast turkey, lots of veg and rosti which I made using grated potato, grated onion, salt, pepper, egg to bind and baked on the silicone paper which avoids the need for fat.
Throughout the day I have had a banana, apple and a lasting satisfaction yoghurt.
I will have a couple of muesli Ryvitas for supper. I enjoy green tea, black coffee and fizzy sparkling flavoured water.
I am trying to see this as a change in eating habits rather than another diet.:hello:0 -
:hello:Well I am going to start again on Friday , got a morning meeting started just round corner to me and Fri is my day off so no excuse. I have 7 weeks till my hols and hope to lose at least a stone, 2 more stone to lose after that ,gonna try to do alot of walking too. I tried it a few years back , different place and evening class so I found I was quite tired, bit unfriendly group, consultant was a bit useless too so I gave up going, done it at home for a while then stopped, I need a bit of encouragement. Found all you people on here , I think I will be using this alot for your advice and recipe ideas , the sausage rolls sound nice, can somebody tell me the pesto one a few of you are talking about, well wish me luck Friday is looming.0

Hya mellywoo welcome and good luck, seven weeks to your hols - 2lbs a week average weight loss is achievable especially with the regular walking so you can do it.
The sausage rolls do sound very nice I might give it a go tomorrow.:hello:0 -
hello all,
thought i'd brighten up your lives with my own tale of greed and laziness....
i have been forced to dig out my old (all of 6 months) FO books as i have gained about 2 stone in 6 months.Basically i gave up work to go back to college but then got so depressed that i gave that up too!!!so i'm now the same weight as i was when i was pregnant-10 years ago.11 stone!i feel massive as i'm only 4'11'' and can barely fit into size 16's campared to 6 months ago when i was a 10/12.
as my user name suggests i'm rather large up top.in fact i think i could probably provide enough nutrition for an entire maternity ward of babies!!!it's got to the stage that i almost wish i was pregnant,at least i'd have an excuse then.
i'm not quite in full SW swing yet but i'm getting my head round the idea slowly.frankly i'm terrified that if i don't get hold of myself soon,i'm gonna lose control totally OR turn into an official oompa loompa lookalike!
i really like the way everyone is so supportive on here.to be honest, when i joined SW last year i only wanted to lose half a stone but while most of the group were helpful and friendly, the leader was disinterested to say the least.i don't really want to go to class again so think i'll do it at home and keep reading all the messages.
p.s. i'm new to forums and stuff so hope i've done this right?!?
thanks,kelly. x x x:T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil,like women....;):D:p
Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone0 -
Hi Kelly and welcome,
Well done for getting back on track!
You will get loads of support here. It's great that you have now taken control and are getting into SW gear, I am sure that there will be less of you soon. Have a good day today as it is the beginning of the new you.

At class last night, one of our members said that Aldi have some great offers on their fruit so i was thinking of paying a visit although it is out of may way but not impossible to get to. Are any of you regular Aldi shoppers and can you recommend any bargains to be had or any items of food that are superfree/free on red/green etc?0

Mornin gang
Well I weighed in this morning (my new official wi day) and I've lost another 3lb since Sunday:j:j:j:j, so I've now lost 10lbs in 3 and a half weeks (which is not bad, as I had a 3-day binge and gained a couple and then I hit the choccy over Easter. I have many stones to lose, so I realise it will slow down a lot, but I'm still pleased:D:smileyheagpuss0 -

:rotfl: I know I should and OH has got the mountain bikes out for the first time this year but its yet to be warm enough for me to venture out (we walk up them thar hills when we can though!). On snowy Monday we got back from our nice warm tour of a stately home to find our neighbour putting away his and a friends bike - they'd cycled 40 miles!! We hurried in asap both looking sheepish! :rotfl:
hehe i got some funny looks when we walked into the cafe after our ride covered in mud on snowy Good Friday too. (I may have fallen off into a swamp but sssshhh no laughing)
and i bet you do something skint_catt - even a long walk counts?0 -
