  • I would recommend Panda. Panda Cloud Antivirus. Excellent Usability. Excellent Resource Consumption. Good reliability.

    Not an ONLINE scanner
  • I would like to say to check the sites you go to for these on-line virus check sites as some of them are unfortunatly fake (none I could see from the list on this forum) and will infect your system worse than before and even some of the legitimate programs will only do a scan then try to get you to pay for a program before they remove the problems
  • Been using Comodo for years. Have tried atleast 5 of the other software that was mentioned in OP's message. Comodo wins all in my opinion

  • This thread is for free online scanners, which run in your web browser - NOT installed software like Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, AVG and so on. The online scanners are useful because certain infections can prevent resident anti-virus software installing or running correctly.

If you think you might have a virus problem and you either have no anti-virus protection or your own anti-virus wont run, click on any of the links below for a free online scan (connection to internet required):

Note: Some of these scanners use ActiveX and need to be opened in Internet Explorer to run correctly.

This isn't about using one or the other, it's about having an online scanner as a backup or using on computers that are infected and the installed AV isn't picking it up or has been killed off by the infection.
