    Hello

I've searched but was getting threads with Spring and Onion in!

I have a pack of Spring Onions that need using, we would normally have stir fry but we have nothing else to make it with.

Any suggestions of how to use them up? I was thinking about these as we have all the ingredients, with new potatoes and green beans on the side:

But would love alternative suggestions! Thanks xx

Make a proper Spanish Tortilla using the potatoes with the spring onions.

Cook the potatoes first, then cut into chunks or slices and fry in a large pan with the chopped spring onions .....beat 4-6 eggs and add. Finish under the grill (easier than trying to flip it).

Adapt this recipe (cheese is optional, or you can add anything else you have to use up ...ham/peppers/herbs etc.):

    Tortilla

Thank you. I did think about spanish omelette but I always still feel like I need a side dish despite the fact that it has potato in! I figured this way the plate would look fuller as the potatoes would be the side?

Oh that sounds so yummy too !!!

I have loads of them so I am going to look for recipies for the already mentioned ideas but in the meantime I am going to do a potato salad and chop some of the spring onions up in to it.

I love potato salad and we have some really nice looking new potatos in the cupboard. I will do the potato salad as an accompniment to our tea tonight !!

    Thanks

    T xx

I put spring onions in my potato salad. New potatoes chopped and boiled and left to cool.
Mix garlic, chopped spring onions, crispy bacon bits, red pepper chopped small and mayo.
    Mix in potatoes.
My friends always ask me to bring it when they have a BBQ , in fact sometimes I think it's the ONLY reason:rotfl:

I snack on them. I've always got a bunch in my lunchbox at this time of year. I'm quite often seen driving about with one hanging out of my mouth. They're really refreshing on a hot day and good for you. Can help stop smoking as well.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I freeze them to use in Thai chicken soup. 1 chicken stock cube , scraps of chicken, 1/2 inch piece of ginger (chopped fine) 1 tablespoon of Thai fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy, pint of water, dried noodles, any veg (carrots and sweetcorn and spring onion my favourites) boil up for 10 mins. Zero syns on slimming world.

    Hi all
Thanks for the suggestions - I made these which were delicious and we didn't need to spend anything as we had all the ingredients in and enough for side dishes too:
