In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Back from the hospital, scan went ok I think only 20 mins but concentrating on her head, I went in with her and had to take off all jewellery, watch, hair clips etc., it was very noisy even with headphones on! A friend had done her a cd and she was trying hard not to laugh when some of the tracks came on
She was very relieved to get out of there! We now have to wait 2 weeks for the results.
Puppy has been walked and is sleeping now so hope to get out after a rest to get her a new bed. Will go to TK Maxx as there are some lovely ones in there at a reasonable price, cheaper than ebay when you factor in the postage.
We think Penny is going into season already so decisions will have to be made soon! fairly urgently as a couple of male dogs were starting to get a bit over friendly!
PP - I think you should be honest with your helper and tell her how you feel, better than keeping it to yourself and getting upset, It really is down to her to make arrangements for childcare if she is working.
Happy Birthday to Poppett!
annie - have a wonderful time in Scotland!

Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£1200 -
Hi all. Just popping back on with a coffee before I go and do my food shopping - need loads. I had intended getting out earlier but it didn't happen. Still, I've made the ironing pile disappear.
PENPIN - Please don't feel forgotten; you DO NOT moan and you certainly do not offend. We worry if we don't hear from you. I hope your day is going well.
CHURCHMOUSE - I'm so sorry - I forgot your wave earlier!:hello: :hello: :hello:
Happy Birthday POPPET - have a great day.
Re the references to smoking while ironing. Years ago I had a friend who used to do this until one day her DS told her how embarrassed he was when he opened his PE kit bag and the horrid stale smell of smoke wafted up in his face. It had taken him ages to pluck up the courage to tell her but it did the trick. She still smokes but not when she's ironing. It just hadn't occurred to her. When she told me, I tactfully suggested she didn't smoke while she knitted, either! She was mortified at the thought that gifts she had knitted all carried the smell and put people off!
REDRUBY - I, too, have long hair; I thought I'd get it cut a month or so ago but nothing else suits me so I just had the usual trim! With long hair, at least you can tie it up out of the way - which is what I do with mine most of the time!
STEFEJIB - you made me laugh with your story of asking about music. I made the same mistake with my DGS when I asked him exactly what an 'innings' was in cricket! Almost half an hour later I had been told and didn't have the heart to say I still didn't understand! Cricket is one of his passions and he thinks I feel the same way about it! If I ask my DH anything, I always get a diagram as well - needless to say, I only ask him when I've got an hour and a half to spare.
Well, I suppose I'd better go and hit the supermarket. I also need to top-up my phone and DH's and I might just pop into the charity shops and the wool shop ( I know I shouldn't!).
See you all later.
(((Hugs))) to SMOKY

Morning folks,
Smokey - Like others, the right words fail me, but I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
JoannasMum - Sorry about your cat - I know how devastating it is to lose a pet.
BenthosBoy - I know I am a few days behind but re: the first shopping trip. My first ever shopping trip took me almost 5 hours!!! I thought it would be a great idea to have all the shopping done *before* we moved house, so that I wouldn't have to worry about it during the move

I am working at 12, so just eating my brunch (tin of soup - it's horrible!). Only today left to do and then 5 WHOLE DAYS OFF!!!!! :j :T :rotfl: :money:
 _party_ . You might not be able to tell, but I'm quite excited about it. A little holiday with OH as it is our anniversary on Sunday
Have written our 'to-do' list - it's 2 sides of A4 long!! And that doesn't include all the 'fun' things we want to do (club, pub, dinner, carboot etc). So if I'm not around for a little bit you know why!
Hope you are all well and have a good dayWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Hello all !
Aches and pains from OH's tumble down the stairs are a lot better -he even managed to drive the car to the supermarket..........now gone to pub - medicinal reasons of course .............lol
I was due for facial/eyebrow shape/lip wax this morning but had to cancel. No point in going if I don't think I'll feel much better after. I'm shattered from having lost sleep with OH;s tumble Wednesday wee small hours and had to wait up till midnight last night to let one of our lads in as he's missed his bus and had to catch the last one ! I was not happy person ! So, didn't wake till 9am this morning..........catching up with the hours bit by bit.........lol
I'll have my facial another time when I think I just might feel and look better for it.
Having a lazy day tday...........still aching from lifting OH the other night to help him back to bed so kitchen floor thats crying out for a mop will have to wait. No sense in making my aches and pains worse, the queen isn't due for a visit so I don't feel it's top priority............my aching back is.............lol
Oh dear I am sounding like an old moaner...............dear dear me.......miust stop it else it'll be habit forming..............lol
Have a good day all and hugs ((((((((((((:o ))))))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Just about to make a pot of tea and browse on here for a while.

You do not moan and you do not offend anybody pet! If someone has been making you feel bad then all of old style will handbag them on your behalf!
Either that or buff them up with a dose of vinegar on a microfibre cloth firmly applied to their gob!
((((smokey)))
Have no words adequate to express sympathy but we are all thinking of you.
Hugs to anyone that needs one.
Need to raid the freezer for inspiration for tea tonight. Have some nice new potatoes so might make a Spanish omelette or else saute them with fresh asparagus (offer at Sainsbury) and oven baked salmon or tuna."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Took my car into the garage, and it needed a new back box for the exhaust - £89
Anyway, went a walk around the charity shops - am I the only person who can't find at least one treasure. One had some wool and a pattern for a hat and scarf, but they wanted £3.99
Oh dear, I'm doing a lot of  aren't I
Anyway, went into Asda, and they were going round reducing lots of fresh meat, fish and ready meals, so will go in again next Thursday at about 11 to see whether it is a regular thingYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever
