Smokey - You have my number somewhere in your pm box please do let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you - Like everyone else on here its frustrating not to be able to be there for you and offer some support other than on here.

    Haribo - :hello:
Had a really lovely sleep last night and woke up feeling fab - good job as I have a mad busy day.
Tonight my GBF, my brother and Sil are all landing for a couple of nights stay. So need to see if I can push the whole of the house into the washing machine sort the shopping out and cook a gourmet meal - all in a days work for a good little OSer isnt it (such a shame Im not a good little OSer:rotfl: )
To add a curve ball my brother has recently be told he as high cholestrol so anything I do cook needs to be in line with this - I have spotted what looks like a really nice salmon recipe in Gordon Ramseys book so may have a bash at that (or............wonder if the chippy would do my a low cholestrol take away:D :D )

Right best get rockin and rolling

    Hugs to all as ever

  • Hi all. HUGS to Smokey.

Happy Birthday Poppet :bdaycake: hope you have a lovely day.

Not much going on in Flittersnoop Towers today, thank goodness. Just realised that DS21 will be home at the end of next week so need to dust and clean his room and make up his bed, as he will be here for two weeks and then DD has HER Easter holiday, I will have company for a whole month  .

Going to spend the day sewing I think since I don't think I'll have time for another week or so.,

    Have a good day everyone

Hi all, hope everyone is well.

(((hugs))) for smokey, thinking of you.
Catznine, hope the scan goes fine today
poppet - birthday wishes for you!

Busy few days ahead - teaching today, then home to pack up luggage. I'm working in London tomorrow then straight to Luton airport after I'm done at Imperial to catch a stupid-o-clock flight to Berlin. I'm back on Tuesday, hope I can relax - normally I'm like a gazelle on steriods if I try to take time off when I'm busy. :rotfl:

Make currant buns again last night but they are took an age to prove as the flat is so cold. In the end I left them in the oven overnight and they had just about doubled in size at 5am this morning, so I baked them before going to work. These look much nicer than the other ones I made, they are softer and fluffier. Still, it did mean I got to eat warm cake whilst walking to work. :D:) Dinner is stuffed aubergines as I need to use the residual veg before going away. Hope OH remembered to swtich teh washing machine on before he goes to work - it's all primed and ready to go, I just didn't want to switch it on as I left because he was still in bed. Hope you all have a good weekend, love and hugs, cel x

WM has been on with bedding and will go on with another lot after. DW is empty and cleaners here ATM, so house all nice and clean.

    DD off school again.

A lady and her 2 strong sons came to pick up the sofa that I put on Freecycle last week, so we only have 1 sofa in the lounge ATM and Harveys have just called to say that suite wont be delivered for another week or so:eek:   ....I must have had about 50 requests for pictures and hardly anyone liked it:confused: ...oh well its gone now!

Hugs to all those that need one and those that dont.

I have done the meal planner thread for this week if anyone wants to join in.

    Hello everybody,

I haven't been feeling the best today but have improved since I had a rest this arv. I did the floors this morning & cleaned out my pantry. Made the cereal & hemmed DH's jeans finally. I'm having a ninny day tomorrow. I found some lovely simple Easter crafts so will do a few with DGS. He has the patience of a gnat so should prove fun. :D
Poppet Happy Birthday. Have a good one.
    Smoky <hugs>
Haribo Why the cloak & dagger stuff. Are you trying to be another Jessica Fletcher. I suppose I can see the similaraties. :D
Twink Being dwarfish your head is always under the parapet. :D

Hope you have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning all :) Is this the real thread now Grannybroon?! ;):D Bless you! You made me chuckle though :rotfl:

Huge (((hugs))) to Smokybabe, i'm so sorry things aren't going well :(
    Hope your nephew improves Lindsay
Scuzz - would that be the Tetley herbal tea? I had mine yesterday, strawberry and raspberry i think, was yum!
(((hugs))) to anyone else who needs them today

Its not as cold here today, cloudy though so dont think i'll get to put any washing out. My oven is now sparkling :) and i'm going to start on the bathroom in a bit. Most other stuff is done, i actually did the housework BEFORE coming on here for once! Once i come on here and get reading time gets away from me and its nearly dinnertime before i know it!

Got to take DD for new school shoes later, shes grown again so that'll be another £30 gone. Then picking OH up from the station at 9.30pm.

I'm making next weeks meal plan today, also shopping list for tomorrow. Want to get the bathroom cleaned, hoover downstairs and maybe a bit of ironing so i'd better get cracking - might have a bit longer browsing first though!

    Have a good day all
