Forgotten about this one, I was at the auction on 1st April but had to leave before it came up, so I have no idea what happened with the bidding.

Silvercar can I suggest removing the link until Lisaw says its ok to put it up? She pm'ed me the link when this thread started, I guess she didn't want everyone to know, at the time.

I don't see how it could possibly hurt her having the link up here? There's no personal information about her, anyone who was really determined could find the house on rightmove anyway by searching using the information already posted on this thread.

Maybe not as I'd drink myself to death from the sheer novelty of it within a week.

Some people have been deluded into this "My house is obviously worth 400+K" poopie. Not everyone earns average salary. That is why it is an average. Do you suggest people who earn more should be encouraged to buy cheap houses or do you think they should be subject to the same income multiples as the rest of us? Or I suppose you think they are greedy too for earning a lot? Why don't we all just earn the same amount, and how about food prices are regulated too, and.....oh sorry that's already been tried. Didn't work did it?

Sorry to sound annoyed I am just fed up of everyone who doesn't have a house thinking all people who have a house are greedy. The house has SSTC twice, therefore at least 2 people thought it was "worth" 400k. You don't know the circumstances as to why these sales collapsed. Neither you nor I know what it is worth, only the people who buy it know what it is worth to them. I don't think the OP is greedy for not accepting 55% of the previous SSTC value. That isn't really moneysaving is it? (as is often the reply to me when ever my house purchase is mentioned!)

Compare that with what you get in some areas for that price, and who do you think is "greedy" now?

I agree the RM link should stay, after all, it may even help the OP sell! It is a lovely place, and I too wish I had a spare 340K (though granted I know nowt 'bout t'area).

Why is OP so desperate to get rid? What's the real story here?

I did think about whether it was OK to put the link up and decided that I could justify it. I found the property just by looking on rightmove for a 5 bedroom detached property in South Wales at exactly 340k. All information LISAW herself posted on this and a previous thread.

I then verified that it was the right one, using propertysnake, as it had been reduced to 340k from 400k, again something that LISAW herself posted.

Then other links appeared on this thread, so I decided I was just saving others from surfing around, rather than giving away anything that anyone couldn't have found themselves.

If I had been given the information privately I wouldn't have posted it.

LISAW can say if she wants the link removed.

An over extended property developer?

Convert it back into a pub for one of the posters on this thread?
