    Hi Cazzdevil,

I don't like fish in curry so always use up fish in a fish pie or fishcakes.

I had a look on google and there are some links to fish and coconut milk recipes that might help.

i have a bag of frozen fish (pollock) which was bought from lidl, i usually use it for Owen cook it in milk with rice and veg.

however i would love some ideas of other things i could cook with it, i have only ever cooked fish twice! unless its as above.

im not the biggest fish eater, nor are the boys so i would love some tasty ideas so i can start eating more fish with them

    Hi fizzle,

This older thread should give you some ideas. I've merged your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together.

does the value stuff have many bones in it?
that's what has always put me off buying it; assuming that it'll be full of bones, to keep the cost down.

The Tesco value whitefish is actually Alaskan Pollock, and to me tastes almost just as nice as cod. I eat it plain with a little bit of mixed herb/black pepper and it tastes so nice I have it about 2x a week now. Never have I had any bones.

I have lots of pollack fish fillets in freezer. I am wanting to make some fish nuggets.

so i was thinking defrost the fish , cut into chunk's , then dip in egg and cover with bread crumbs or flour and batter , then deep fry. Would the frying process cook the fish ?

i have only ever cooked it from frozen in milk.

    Thanks in advance.

ps ~ hope i've made myself clear.

I have seen the chefs on TV do this plenty of times exactly the way you are doing it.

    Hi jcr16,

Yes, the deep frying will cook the fish. This older thread may help you:
