    Yep so has ours.

DH had the Basics Chicken and vegetable pies from the frozen bit and said they were really nice. £1.20 for 4 :)
I bought the washing powder and its pretty good. I only use 1-2 tablespoons per load and everything is just as clean as it was with branded ones. I think our soft water helps though!

Fizzy water is fizzy water - you can't go wrong really!

Pittas are nice - a bit small, but for dieting thats good in itself!

Porridge is great, that is going to be a staple with winter.

Spotted jars of Sainsbury's Basics tartare sauce - never seen them before! I'll be doing Fish finger sandwiches friday with the sauce (with basics fish fingers and part baked rolls of course), will post up my opinion!! :)

Got a load of shopping delivered yesterday, some of it new basics things to try. What we have tried and liked so far:

Basics Toothpaste- has got just a little less fluoride than regular (but more than Tesco value which we had before) and tastes pretty nice. Real bargain at 17p

Basics Chocolate Mousse- nice chocolate flavour

Basics Dark Chocolate- not as big a fan of this as of the white and milk chocolate but still good

Basics Baked Beans- bit more watery but at half the price this is great

Basics Apples- I think these vary by what is on offer, think we were lucky and got really nice and big ones

Basics Muesli- great at 65p for 1kg

Basics Pears- a bit small but still nice pears

I'm recently converted to the basics range and Sainsburys (used to shop at Tesco), but I love the basics range on the whole.
I can second their toothpaste being good..not too minty, so good for the whole family. I took a tube to my dentist the other day and he compared it to a known brand and said it was just as good as the branded one, in fact it had more flouride in than the one he was comparing it to.
Their chocolate mousse and yoghurts are lovely.

My only complaint is Sainsbury's over use of rapeseed oil as an ingredient. My husband is asthmatic (rapeseed is a big trigger) and there is a massive amount of both basics stuff and Sainsbury's own brand stuff that has rapeseed oil in them so we can't have them. I have phoned to complain, but one little voice is unlikely to change much:o
