Oh I think I spotted some of those in the freezers. They were all on their own though, not with other ready meals, so perhaps a special offer or clearance of stock (maybe a printing error on the packaging or something). I didn't get any because I thought it might be a mistake!
74p isn't bad though, for a complete meal that you only need a bit of salad and/or bread with.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

No, it isn't a mistake and not a special offer, they are normally that price.
Because of the low cost a lot of stores sell them fairly quickly.
There isn't a great deal of meat in them but they are quite tasty.0 -
Love love love Basics Mayonnaise so much cheaper than Sainsbury's own and miles cheaper than Hellmann's and I can't taste the difference: for 38p (I think) around that anyway it's great!!!
Vegetable stock cubes are good too at only 10p, take longer to dissolve but taste just as good when put into a dish!
Oh and the Salad Potatoes are great at only 78p and make a lovely potato salad to go with a BBQ in this weather!
Pitta breads at 25p - no difference
Eggs at £1.89 for 18, smaller but just as good!
Frozen mixed veg at 74p for great size bag
Sponge mix at 23p makes yummy scrummy cakes and fairy cakes.

Basic Tortilla Chips...
They are kinda nice but wayyyyy too salty!! It's like they tip a whole tub of Low-Salt in there.. At 50p they are cheaper than Doritos, but at least you can get lightly salted Doritos.9/70lbs to lose0 -
Yeah I agree, I think we are good if you want to have them with your Chilli Con Carne, wouldn't really ever have them as a snack.Wins 2010 (holiday pretty please!): Jan:BlueReefAquariumTicket!Feb: TottenhamTeamMascotExperience!Mar: AvonPerfume£100YatesbartabAltonTowersbreak!Apr: - May: BicSoleilRazor June:2OdeonTickets BicRazorAgainHippHamperHamper July:HairAwards2010 Products!Aug:Nothing Sep: Nothing:( Oct: DailyMail£250!0

Basics!!! What a life saver! Our food bill has been pretty big in the past, but lack of overtime at work has left us with a fiver or less to buy dinner and packed lunch stuff for school for two adults and three kids. The best thing is finding basics stuff reduced like diced chicken breast down to £1.50 from £2.39.
I haven't tried the curry sauce yet, I hate sultanas in curry. I love their Basics pasta salad with sweetcorn. The kids don't like the Basics orange juice drink that I put in their lunch box, and the Basics choc ices taste like snow! I really wish my local Sainsburys stocked the Basics dishwasher tablets instead of just the branded ones and their own brand in the large sizes. What would be even better would be a Netto, Aldi or Lidl nearby, but instead our other supermarket here is Waitrose:(0
