I noticed tonight while microwaving my Basics shepherds pie that the outer cardboard wrapper said something like "a simpler recipe but just as tasty" so I checked the ingredients.
Amazingly they only listed potato, lamb, gravy, onion and carrot. Not one 'E' number or preservative. In fact just like home made would be. It was very tasty too. Definitely getting that again.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Erm... Sainsburys? :rotfl:In the chilled ready meals cabinet (or in my case the chilled reduced cabinet - mine was 20p not 79p!).
I must admit that it said the lamb content was only 11% of the product (majority being potato 56%), but you wouldn't have known.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

ta. I never usually buy anything frozen in Sainsbugs, not been over to that end of the shop yet.0

Just to avoid you searching in vain, it's the chilled cabinets not the frozen (freezers) section. I know you probably meant that anyway but I do like to be precise lol
:rotfl:.
They also do spag bol, macaroni cheese, lasagne, chicken curry & rice and probably one or two others, most of which I've not been too disappointed with. At the moment they are 79p each, but as mentioned earlier if you can grab them reduced then so much the better. They freeze well and can be oven cooked or microwaved from frozen, which is a bonus if you want to keep a few in the freezer for emergencies or s0d it days!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

NO NO NO, NOT the freezers! It's CHILLED. Sorry to shout but your poor OH no wonder he couldn't find it.
Have you managed to spot ANY of the chilled ready meals? They should be near the pies, pizzas etc. (NOT the frozen ones!) :rotfl:.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
