Basics Bio Washing Powder has disappeared from the shelves and isn't available online . I have used nothing else since it first appeared and I'm feeling bereft.

Basics onions have been AWOL for months.

Deoderant spray (44p) is very effective and despite it's slightly floral scent, often migrates to the men's toiletries section!

  • Sorry if someone has already recommended this: Basics Diced Casserole Beef £2.50. It is lovely - and imo is better than the taste the difference range.
I make a steak pie every week with this.
Even my fussy DD loves it.

  • Basics chickens are now officials AWOL in our branch. I have spoke to customer services and think it is linked to the number of other special offer chickens they have (which are obviously not as good value as the basics ones!). Currently having to get sainsbury's own frozen chicken (although I got the last one in stock of those today!).

Another thing - i went to the store with the intention of getting the basics breaded fish fillets but after comparing the ingerdients with the basics fishfingers and the fishfingers although cheaper seemed like the better option so went for them instead.

Nope, I'm 100% certain that a few months ago there was 1 of each flavour of yogurt in the packs of 4 sainsbury's basics yogurts...please someome back me up on this!! :D

You are absolutely right. Sainsburys used to have four flavours of yogurt in their basic range. Now there are two flavours and it went from 29p to 15p (only for a couple of weeks to trick us) and up to 40p
