Morning :hello:
Not a very good night but shouldnt complain
Managed to get a few bits on ebay yesterday and pack a few parcels that needed to be sent off. Have a few more to pack up this morning and OH will post when he has to go into town later withh DD eye appointment-lucky as her glasses broke yeaterday and she lost the screw  She had a spare pair but doesnt like them, she gets a new pair every 6 months because of her poor vision.
1st washload on-be ready for OH to hang out when he's out of bedprobably one other after. 20 min blitz will be done about 8'ish, but have already done the toilet and cleared the lounge so its totally clear. OH washed all the floors yesterday so they will only need to be swept for next 2/3 days. The wooden blinds really need doing-they are dust magnets..lol.
Im going to try and sit out in the garden later with my new hammock thing OH bought me last week, maybe read through some text books or more likely a good thriller.
Dishwasher is leaving everything streaky and wondered if anyone knew what it could beI use 3 in 1 tabs...anything i can do to improve it?
Lunch today will be a chop, mash & veg. Dinner HM Shepards Pie & Veg
Have a great day and will report back later.

Morning Glad and PP
Well today kids are back to school so no more staying in pyjama's until time for work. Share taking them to school with oldest DD but today I'm on duty so need to be up and organised. (no reading this forum for hours  in the morning)
Both kids will be taking pack up's everyday, they used to take money but since joining this forum all that has stopped. They don't even expect money anymore. :T
Need to post more Ebay parcels during the day, clean all bathroom's (with vinegar mix) and do a large ironing pile tonight after work.
I'm doing my own money spinning at the moment and it's working really well. I will have no clutter or furniture left when I'm finishedSo tonight I will be listing more stuff on ebay!!

Morning everyone
Awake before the kids - although only by 10 mins or so. Thought I'd have a quick squint on here but DS's were up and requiring breakfast before I got to do anything!
Anyway, today I'm off to parents to visit/clean/shop. However, I've picked up a last minute mystery shopping job for which they'll pay me £20 so I'll do that first. Bit out of the way, but hey, it's £20
Had the spag bol last night so it's roast chicken meal tonight. Don't want to leave it in slow cooker as it will be on too long so may actually roast itIt's only a small one so won't take that long and I'll be doing roasties anyway. Mr TM is back to school, erm, work today but it's an "insect" day so he won't be getting fed in the canteen. I'd better remind him to make some butties, in a minute.
The ironing pile is still defeating me. 2 loads on line from yesterday and the last one is in the machine waiting to go out. Isn't that just the worst thing (apart from being ill that is) about going away - the mountain of laundry is disproportionate to the length of time away and how rested you may have felt on your return! However, my shorts and skimpy tee-shirts are going straight back up into the attic till next year, so no ironing them
OK, off to do,,,well, whatever. Will catch up later.

'Morning everyone :hello:
Woke up a bit late this morning. Spent three hours reading in the middle of the night after waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. Then had trouble getting out of bed this morning
Shopping night tonight. We always go midweek as it is a lot quieter. Have been adding to the shopping list all week, so I know exactly what we need. Hopefully won't be too expensive.
Have a lovely OS day!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Car boot sale today. I had better take the missus along to it. The biggest one about, so I hope she gets a bargain or 7. Always a good moral booster is the car boot. Kids still off another week down here....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Morning everyone...
Just put dishwasher on. Forgot last night! Washing machine on. Hoping to do some housework though its quite difficult with children and OH at home but I'll do my best. My kinders aren't back till next week either.
Hoping to do a bit of a trying on day today so I can make sure all the uniform stuff I've bought will fit.
Tesco man comes this morning....was going to take kinders to cinema afterwards to see Charlie and Chocolate factory but think I'll wait till it comes on Sky boxoffice. Though I've been thinking of getting rid of NTL and just getting a freeview topbox. Has anyone else done that? Is it worth doing?
Anyway hope everyone has a great day..whatever they are doing and whatever the weather :j0 -
Morning my lovelies :hello::wave:
Couldnt find my keys this morning, they are lost somewhere in the abyss of the living room, i havent lost them outside as i would have needed them to get in lastnight, oh well i will find them tonight when i have more time....
Had a fish supper bought for us lastnight by my grandma as we had a family get together (free food yum). nothing too much OS planned for today as im working. Will be having chicken fajitas for team with some salad and potato wedges. mmmmm
Remember that expensive make up i bought about a week ago?! well, i wore it yesterday, and it made my eyes itch like mad, looked at the ingredients list to see what was in it and there is a note saying "the following colours should not be worn on the eye or lip area" and lo and behold is the colour i bought. I am FUMING, i didnt particularly want that colour in the first place, i wanted the super bright blue but i ended up with cornflower. The shop assistant new i wanted it as eye shadow, i told her so, about 4 times during the time i was at the counter, and she even sold me the liquid base to go underneath the eyeshadow. I luckily have my receipt still, and im going to march off to the MAC counter after work and demand a, my money back or b, a replacement, in the colour i wanted to start with. Dont get me wrong its a nice colour but the shop assistant got too greedy on her sale and sold me something unusable. Its a mac pigment so you can wear it all over, as eyeshadow, blush, lippie, but its violet !!!!!!, who wears violet lipstick or blush!!! !!!!!!!
rant overgotta post off some wigs i sold on ebay, think im going to take a break on hair extensions for a while as its become a bit laborious, and as the students havent arrived back from uni, im not doing a very good trade over the summer hols.
In a right fettle today, throat is still killing me, i havent heard anything from the mystery shopping companies i registered with and i just want today to be over. ive had enought already and its only 8.15. ARGH!!!!0 -
Hi all
Fairly new to OS...but addicted already. OH took the mickey last night cos I came back from the shop with white vinegar. Just gotta check out the cleaning tips now cos I'm not entirely sure what to do with it.....
Penny Pincher - I wondered if you had any tips for cleaning wooden blinds? I have wooden venetians and they get soooo dusty and I absolutey hate cleaning them as it's so time consuming.
Have a good day all,

:hello: Hi folks :hello:
Didn't manage to do any ironing yesterday, so I've got to attack it again todayAh well, it's my own fault. Spent most of yesterday trying to sort out our council tax because we're moving. In the past, OH has gone into the council office and got a revised bill then and there and pay what is outstading. Ooooooooooooooh no, no, no. Can't do that, you've got to pay the bill, fill in a form and then they'll send you what's owing. Grrrr. At least I managed to post off some of my ebay parcels (all the ones that are paid for!).
We've got a friend coming round for supper tonight. He looked after our house whilst we were on holiday, so he's getting curry to say thank you!
Anyhow. Best be going. Have a good day everyone.

We were meant to be going out on a local history adventure today using a book I bought weeks ago. It was only when I sat down and read the route that I realised its 5 miles long ( ) so the chances of DD doing it all in one go is slim to nothing. Then the weather forecast has predicted heavy thunderstorms this afternoon so the trip is postponed indefinetly  Instead, after "TV time" (AKA my computer time until 10am
), we're going to sit down with the book and read it together while plotting our own little route and making a map which may just be an activity for Sunday when OH is home so we can start our Sunday Walks again
We may be cutting out some of the sights, especially the "old post box (dated approximately 1865)" which WAS (in 1982) one of only three surviving so-called "First National Standard" type post boxes, it didn't even have a royal cipher it was so old - BUT some little vandels blew it up with a firework last year so its no longer there  plus a few other that OH and DD probably won't be interested in. It should keep us busy this afternoon and be quite informative
One lot of dirty dishes washed, more into soak (we had pesto last night so pans and bowls need soaking until they can be washed), one load of washing out on the line (only got up at 8am so this is a miracle for me - I love my new washing machine) another in the machine, one more to do (should have been the last load in now, but there were too many towels for one load). DD fed and watching "Bear in the big blue house" closely followed by "Something Special" if Cbeebies is working properly today
I think I might venture to trying to clean the bathroom today while DD gets dressed or we might have a "virtues of housekeeping" for an hour or so while I clean the house top to bottom or "Finding Nemo" might find its way on the TV while I clean
Oh well, off to other sites I visit daily and then on with the housework and history lesson :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
