I have a wholemeal loaf in breadmaker and dried peas soaking to use in a soup.
Typing this in library as DD (aged11) will not let me on computer.
Washing machine is on at home and dishwasher loaded ready to switch on when I get back."This site is addictive!"

morning all - good luck with the interview anacasta and happy birthday TM!
Managed to be terribly o/s last night - made a very nice cream of celery soup using my very bendy organic box celery and half a pot of sour cream left over from my dinner party chilli last saturday. - I'm very impressed with the organic veggies altogether and will be getting a box once a fortnight.
I've still got what looks like a huge courgette, but mum thinks is a marrow (are they actually the same? ) which I think I might stuff with something as I find courgette a bit dull and a kohl rabi which is a gorgeous colour and a bit scaryI think I might roast it with the butternut squash I've got lurking - would that work does anyone know?
Loads of people coming over for a video night tonight - everyone brings something that they think everyone else should see, which makes for an interesting evening all round as well as being a very cheap way to see everyone - and cheaper than renting DVDs!
Now I must go and fetch a cuppa from the machine as the office is FREEZING today... just as well it's free!Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...0 -
My mother used to cook kohl rabi in milk and it was gorgeous.
Back on my own computer and another load of washing is in the machine.
Fingers crossed for loaf as they are going funny in hot weather."This site is addictive!"

I've completely stopped using timed programs on mine. I set it to make dough, and then from experience make my best guess at how long the bread might take to rise properly and set the kitchen timer early.
Then I'll take a look through the window and guess at how much longer it might need...
Then I set it to bake. I find that if I use the delay button and bake a loaf overnight then it works out better."This site is addictive!"

Morning All :hello:
Well I am soooo tired today! I had 3 interviews lined up for yesterday and only 1 turned up  not impressed at all. Lady who turned up was nice, but have 2 more today...thats if anyone can be bothered to turn up :wall: ?? Had another lady who has just gone and she was nice but very oppionated-but I do prefer upfront people and she was older about 50+(and alot of experiance), gave her my list of jobs I wanted doing and OH took her round the house and she was asking lots of questions-which i think is a good sign.
Have had about 80 calls and about 7 have been able to speak english  Im not racist but many could only say...hello...job..please. Hubby has just started saying-sorry job gone!
Anyway, today, jobs done so far are: 2 washloads and dried in TD as we have very wet weather here today with storms (TD hasnt been used for weeks though!)DW on and will be emptied when finished, floors swept, post sorted, cheques from ebay and parcels sorted for being sent today, kitchen clean and tidy, toilet cleaned.
DH has some more decorating to do in DD room-seems to be taking foreverMen for you I suppose..lol. Have to sort out the garage/office once her bedroom is done so we can move all computer out there and his stuff for when his degree starts next month. Will clear alot of space in our bedroom and wont have his computer mess everywhere
Lunch for me is a lamb chop, mash and veg. DD and OH soup and bread/butter. Tea is HM toad in hole with roast pots and cabbage. Have some bananas that need using so may try a banana loaf-never done one before though  Are they difficult to make? I have a BM but havent used it in over a year
Found mice nest behind dishwasher, so OH cleared yesterday. Have now killed 7 mice...how many more for goodness sake??
Anyway, Im off to have me lunch and wll let you know about interviews later. I may need your advice as to who to choose
Have a great day!

Hi everyone :hello:
At work today so not very OS. DS slept out at a friend's last night and is with my Mum today, but he looked so pale and tired when he came back this morning I'm sure he will sleep all day!
OH is taking me out to a restaurant for a belated birthday treat tonight. The OS ways are rubbing off though because he has collected vouchers from the local paper that give us a starter and main course for £12 each. Still more expensive than hm of course, but this resaturant is usually very expensive and it is for my birthday.
Last night we had soup but I mis-read the recipe and put in 2 litres of stock instead of 2 pints. Doh! It was still tasty but thinner than usual. Still, it meant I had more left over to freeze!
Still catching up with my post-holiday washing. I have put a load out to dry before work a couple of mornings this week, but this morning I put it on the airer to dry indoors as the forecast was for rain, but now it is gloriously sunny and warm here and I wish I had put it in the fresh air.
Have a book to post at lunchtime that I sold yesterday on the Amazon marketplace. It is a uni textbook and I have sold it for £14.50 so that is nice.
Have a great day everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

P-P - banana loaf is dead easy - I do the one from the bero website click "a-z" and scroll down to banana teabread!
I do the sugar and fat in the processor and then bung in the eggs, put that in a bowl and add the flour. That just makes everything else stirring together! (if the bananas aren't all that soft I whizz them too)Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...0 -
I'm afraid I have been fighting an addiction to Martin's money-saving game...I have finally made it into the top ten, I'm at number seven! No, I'm NOT proud of myself, this is the culmination of hours of wasted time over the last few weeks...what is WRONG with me?
Now I have my name in lights, perhaps I will start spending my working days more productively...writing that novel!...and writing to you people...0
