Quicksave, Polly & Pap, lovely cards. It is surprising how different they are!

I notice that a few people have talked about colouring in stamped images. I have tried this with my whisper pens but the stamped image smudged. What type of waterproof ink do you use? Is that called pigment ink or is it something different? At the moment I'm not doing much stamping as I think they look so much better coloured but I wasn't sure what type of ink pad to buy. Also, can anybody tell me if it worth buying a set of chalks? I have seen Dawn Bibby using them but I wondered if any of you have had much use for them. I don't want to buy them if they will just get knocked about in a drawer and end up crumbled up and being thrown away.

I already have a list for the craft fair tomorrow, and I have been doing my homework as to what the usual shop prices are so that I don't get sucked into buying just because it is there. I'm hoping that I will get some good bargains. I always go to the Knitting & Stitching show in Harrogate with my sister and there are usually quite a lot of good papercraft stalls there but now I am getting into my new hobby I am getting quite excited. I am driving, sis is doing the sandwiches. :D Can't wait!

Chickadee I use stazon, it is expensive but well worth the money. I think there is brilliance too if I remember correctly. Stazon drys very quickly too, so once you stamp you image out you are good to go :D You can use pigment inks to colour you igaes too. Squeeze the lid onto the pad (while the inks shut) then some pigment should trasfer into the lid, then you can use that to water colour your images. Use a tea plate if you prefer :)

I get confused there are so many different types of inks. I'm definitely going to buy a Stazon pad. I have been having a go at colouring in peel-offs using the whisper pens scribbled onto a plate and picking up the colour like paint with a wet paintbrush. It gives a much more subtle effect and I added more depth of colour using the pens directly at the flower centres. They looked very artistic and I'm no artist, believe me.

I'm at work at the moment but I'm itching to get home now and have a go!

Hopefully I'll be doing my aperture card tonight but I already have an idea for my 'male' card for next week.
