I get confused there are so many different types of inks. I'm definitely going to buy a Stazon pad. I have been having a go at colouring in peel-offs using the whisper pens scribbled onto a plate and picking up the colour like paint with a wet paintbrush. It gives a much more subtle effect and I added more depth of colour using the pens directly at the flower centres. They looked very artistic and I'm no artist, believe me.
Chickadee, to help I will run through the inks I use and how I use them.
*Stazon ~ used for any surface ie srink plastic/paper/card/plastic/wood etc etc. I usely use these purley for outline ie stamping.
*dye based/pigment ink ~ this is what I use to colour images. At the moment I use mainly ink it up pads & versa mark but I am starting to buy more stamping up pads. These can be used for a range of different things but is very slow drying so ideal for watercolours.
*chalk ink ~ used for edging papers/card. very quick drying and give a chalky effect to the paper. You couldnt really stamp/colour with these
How you use the wisper pens is a simaler idea on how to use the inkpads with water. Also i find them easy to blend when you need a lighter/darker shade as 7 inkpads can give you many colours.
This is where I buy most of my inks from (if not stamping up) but remember if you use stazon you you really do need the cleaner as it will discolour your stamps. Also if you use clear stamps it can rot them (although it hasnt to any of mine yet).0 -

Quicksave, Polly & Pap, lovely cards. It is surprising how different they are!
I already have a list for the craft fair tomorrow, and I have been doing my homework as to what the usual shop prices are so that I don't get sucked into buying just because it is there. I'm hoping that I will get some good bargains. I always go to the Knitting & Stitching show in Harrogate with my sister and there are usually quite a lot of good papercraft stalls there but now I am getting into my new hobby I am getting quite excited. I am driving, sis is doing the sandwiches. Can't wait!
Have fun at the craft fair tomorrow, you lucky thing!!!0 -

Savvy, not really just think of a piece of paper and a die (piece of metal) going through a mangle in a sandwich ~ tada. As for the cards/envelopes I use a crafters companion i can make any card/envelope/box on there out of anything. It was expensive but I use it all the time.0
