I;m pleased you started it polly...........being a bit of a novice at card making I'm always looking for a few ideas and tips from people. A lot of the card making stuff can be expensive -well to me anyway being on a limited budget so any little hints are valuable.:j
), I reckon if you're not careful you could end up spending a lot more than you actually need to buying all the ready made things in the craft shops....................and then end up with a more expensive card than you could have bought (obviously though you haven't had the fun and relaxation though;) ).
My main aim in making cards is to save money and have them more personalised into the bargain.Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. mumoftwo - thanks for letting me know what they're called.............lol Used some this morning but there was nothing on the packet to say what they were and when I buy them I just point to them in the shop...........lol
Been trying to make cards this morning...........not doing as well as I thought but at least got baby grandson's easter card done. Cut out two images of cows from some material I had and stuck them on a turquoise transparency on silver background. Had a larger stick on cows head but it didn't look right on the front so I stuck in inside with two little chickens at the bottom. Cows got rolling eyes so it looks as if he's looking at them............lol
Have another go at the other easter cards tomorrow.........just need to do a couple for Mums friends who have been so good to her.
Haven't started christmas ones for this year yet but I've got a box full of cut offs from last years cards, plus bits and pieces rescued from crackers at a christmas dinner.Mary

Still not quite happy with couple of easter cards...........mental block today I think and now I have a retirement card to do. Not done one of them before so think I'll keep it fairly general and pretty for her and add my own words inside.
Starting to run out of card and not going out in this weatherMary
