Thanks for all the great tips. I love making cards, but so far have only made them for friends/relatives and to raise money for charity. If you don't already know this site, it has lots of ideas http://docrafts.co.uk Like other posters, I salvage bits and pieces from old cards, boxes, scraps of material, packaging etc. Has anybody any ideas on storage, please? I find that when I put stuff away in boxes it's all too easy to forget what's in there or where it is when I need it!

I bought a set of canvas storage boxes from woolworths the other year (they're stackable ones) and I use the top one of those for larger pieces of paper or card.I've also got a box file with other pieces in and a small 'tool box' for small embellishments ............seems a bit of a messy way to store stuff but I don't have the space to allocate a lot for it unless I have a major sort out...............bit of a daunting task.
I'm always looking for other ideas that might be easier but at the minute, for me, the box file is handy for me to carry to the kitchen table (thats where it all happens................lol) and when I've finished I pop it back under my desk.
Also got a hat box I keep a lot of pieces of ribbon in............oh dear, its starting to sound like I keep it here there and everywhere.............lol
I'm sure I could get something that's more organised but it would be a problem knowing where to put it.

I've seen those advertised polly and they look ideal but honestly, if you saw the amount of storage boxes I've got already ..............lol and I have to keep them all in computer room as I need them and there's literally no-where else I could put anything. Think I need a bigger house................lol The spare room is full of stuff for hampers (plus bed just in case we get a visitor)
I seemed to have inherited Mums china cabinet when she sold the house......no-one else wanted it and it was my grandads so I couldn''t let is be dumped for my Mums sake. She's happy knowing its somewhere safe with all the bits and pieces in that she had in it.
I'll just have to muddle along.
