Ideas for card craft beginner

Quick reply, my battery on my laptop is going & no power socket ... I haven't done many cards recently but I will be starting again soon, this thread has inspired me again so thanks!

Just did a couple of easter cards to replace the ones that went wrong.........lol seemed to take and age but in the finish I stuck on an picture of daffodils in a bunch on a piece of silver card, stuck the card onto a white card and edged around the daff. picture with some peel off silver edging. Stuck a cream bow at the bottom of the piccy of daffs so it looks like a bunch tied with ribbon.
The other one was just a picture of some pale pink flowers stuck on a darker shade card then put on the card itself with a burgundy bow up the corner.
Fiddled about some more with the one I'm doing with the flowers (the card that opens in the middle...........trouble is I trimmed the to sides that open and now it won't stand up properly..................lol Aint there always something So I'll come back to that another day............lol

Lol u really do sound like me mary im always doing stuff like that cards falling over lol but the easter cards sound nice i did somthing simular with a easter card i made to sell. i made a birthday card b4 the 1 that mumoftwo suggested the 1 with 3 squares then another 3 on top of them it looks really good gonna have a brew then im doing a golfing card for a friends dad wot r u up 2 2day?

Just a few pictures to let you see what I meant: punched out some hearts in yellow and pink, stuck them across the middle of the card

Just stuck a peel off on some sparkly wrapping paper, stuck some foampads on the back, stuck it on yellow paper, then on purple, added some foampads and stuck it on the card, add a Happy birthday at the bottom. Trying to keep it as simple as possible. But to make it more interesting I would add a gem in the middle of the daisy and put a little punched out heart beside the happy Birthday. Just do as much or as little as you feel like.

Thankyou it looks great ive just made the card with 3 squares i used a white base card then 3 large pink squares and on top of them 3 yellow squares happy birthday in the middle and a perfume bottle on the top square and a lipstick on the bottom square im gonna have ago at the one with the tulips but i also love the one u have just done with the hearts thanks again but u can keep the ideas coming if u want lol:rotfl: :A :j :T

I don't have tulips punch only small hearts, but you can easy do the same with tulips and if you punch them nicely in a row, you can use the punched out strip on another card IYSWIM?
Your card sounds great Polly. Do you want more ideas? Don't want to hog the thread or anything, just trying to help. (Should I organise a cardmaking tutorial lol :rotfl: )

I will let you into another little secret. To make a card give that extra bit I put leftover little dots from a peel off along the side, just 3 in a row, along one long side, not on the topper but on the card..
