It is a good way of using left overs from peel offs as well. I have small squares as well. Just three down one side at the bottom and three at the top on the opposite side. I think I saw it in a magazine once and thought it looked great. Are you interested in me doing some male cards?

Our library in town has info of all sorts of groups. There is a cardmaking group in our community centre and they sell their cards for charity.

    Super cards polly and mumoftwo

I just did one for one of the boys we've got,.............nothing much in our craft shop for boys but I found a sheet of decoupage (75p) with red cars on it and a happy birthday strip so I put some black card on the white card I'd got, layered the car just once (not a boy to want anything too fussy) and stuck the happy birthday strip along the bottom. Looks quite good I thought and he was happy with it.
Our card/craft shop do classed once a week but its £7 and you have to buy what you use.......most you get is two cards out of it. I try and keep mine as cheap as I can.

Peel offs are great, never waste a tiny bit of them, every dot, the whole lot get used. Real value for money

Your card sounds lovely Mary, red cars, just the thing for little boys and big boys lol. I like to use black card too, it makes things stand out, doesn't it? I went to 1 cardmaking class, didn't like it much and for the money you can buy a couple of magazines that you can keep and look over whenever you want. And with the internet as well, plenty sites where you can see and learn..

No point in paying out a lot of money when you can look at a few ideas and with a bit of imagination adapt them to suit what you want to do.
I never buy a lot of stuff from the craft shop if I can get away with using something around the house - makes it even cheaper.

polly - the little lipsticks and nail varnish on your card - are they real ones or card stick ons ? I bought some real mini-nail varnishes from the charity shop (all in a basket 10p each........lol) wondered if I could use them on a card - they're destined for grandaughter anyway and I've just done a card for her birthday thats an image I found when googling............its blue with lots of shaded dresses, shoes, handbags etc on it. I edged it with the peel off silver edging -wondered if I could stick a nailvarnish on it

They are stick on toppers they were in the sale at the craft shop. I dont think the real mini ones would work think it would be too heavy for the card but you never know
