Lose Weight 19

Hello all,
I am having a really pants week at work, my colleague is off sick and i am really struggling so done no exercise since Sunday and plan was to work out everyday this week . Too tired to be bothered!
Diet ok though and did a cheeky mid week way in tomorrow and lost 1/4lb, hoping its still gone Saturday on official weigh in day! :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Sorry peeps, not enough energy to say what I want but just a little progress snippet (instead of a WI - please take me off the chart thanks Delly). I was in a charity shop today and the changing room had two mirrors so you could see your back as well. In the past that seldom-seen view would have made me miserable (and probably running for the nearest comfort food) - today I was able to just appreciate that that's how I look from the back. No negative stuff, beating myself up blah blah, just a simple observation. One thing it also reminded me is that 'hiding away' in baggy clothes does you no favours - my tracky bottoms looked like I'd had a serious 'accident' in them they were so saggy on the bum :rotfl:That's another thing I've been doing, gradually replacing my wardrobe to reveal my body as it is now and my personality.
I have found this out in the last few weeks, I feel a lot better wearing a tight size 16 pair of jeans, than a saggy pair of size 20s. Even thou the tight jeans are close to the skin, I think they look a lot better on me than the bigger pair.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

katiepoppycat - I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your gain. You never seem to mind putting on when you've enjoyed yourself doing it.
As for the diet at 14 - My mum was listening to the old crows in the family about how fat I was - she always was really easily influenced by them. My problem back then was I was tall and well built and well developed compared to everyone else my age. It was also the nasty baggy clothes that were in fashin and the fact I was a completely different body shape to my mum's side of the family (all fashionably thin through smoking - 2 had strokes, 1 had lung cancer - not all of being thin is good eh?)
jtb well done on 3lbs off :j - and through sensible eating .. very MSE
:T efrieze & everyone else who's lost.....
jules - don't weigh yourself this week, take it easy on yourself if your sick. Forget about dieting/slimming until you're feeling better.
grannynise -there's already been some really good advice for you on here but I'd just like to add my 2p worth..... I've struggled over the past few weeks since quitting WW and with one thing and another happening at home and work, I've found the big restart very difficult.... I'm back on track this week through making smaller more achieveable changes (changing my scone at morning tea to a yoghurt and fruit - I'm still having my snack, just a different one). Why don't you try that over the next few days. BUT have a brilliant holiday in Nice, I'm so jealous...... again, as has been said: follow your body's signals when you're away.
ess-six - I know you STS this week but I think your result from last week was missed off the chart so I've put it on this week instead...
Off now to sort out DS for bed. Be back later with the chart (probably around 9) so last calls for the chart please)Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Suggs & Marion thank you so much for posting your holiday gains and BB for your one. The more of us who do, the more we'll realise it's totally normal! Good luck with reversing it - easy on, easy off! *Cross fingers*
I'm so sorry that there are peeps on here going through tough times and/or are poorly at the moment. Really hope everything can be worked through quickly for you guys xxx
Petrichor a 3lb 'range' is brilliant and you should be congratulating yourself! Deffo nothing to be ashamed of. If there's anything I/we can help with, you will give us a yell won't you?
Bails lol at the tracky bottoms description :rotfl: have a good evening at the movies.
Gpuk, you over-achiever you!Well done, I knew you'd do it, you've been so determined all along. Absolutely brilliant result!

George - hello there!
Sounds like you love sport! That's great! Have you thought about having a chat with your PE teacher as they know exactly how to keep healthy and fit.Sealed Pot Challenge No. 9140 -
George, I would defintitely cut back on the Coke and Lucozade, what about squash instead? Your body doesn't need those drinks to work well, just eat well instead. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

George - I agree with the advice above and would just like to add - I know water tastes disgusting when it gets warm but why don't you try freezing your bottle of water and putting it in your bag in the morning before you go to school. That way it will melt through the day and the ice that's still in the middle left to melt will keep the rest of it cool (of course it's much nicer if it's sugar free squash.) You'll definitely see/feel a difference when you give up the coke and energy drinks - they're nothing but empty calories anyway.
HOWEVER - Having been put on a diet when I was 14 .... don't worry too much about being overweight GEORGE - accept yourself the way you are. You still need to eat quite a bit of food to keep you going and growing. You'll find that you'll even out as time goes on. There's nothing wrong with wanting to exercise and eat healthily at your age, but please, confide in your pe teacher or parents about how you feel.... we only know what you tell us - the people who love you know you much better.
last call for the chart by the way.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
