    Hey all
Thanks for the chart Delly, I wondered why it said I haven't lost anything, then I realised it was a new month

I am well chuffed as today I managed to run the full 15 minutes on the treadmill! I just kept tricking myself into running for 1 more minute! :D I now have blisters on the side of my feet, but very pleased with myself.

    cuffie welcome:D

    delly thanks for the chart

We put an offer in for the house yesterday but already someone else has at £2.5k more so I guess we have lost it but gut woman's intuition feeling says that we cannot let it go and that house is ours, we can't match the offer without never eating again (uhm:rotfl: ) so in catch 22, love it want it need it can't imagine life without it but have no funds to stretch to it so bye then:rotfl:  if only....;)

My boss keeps telling me at work if it is meant to be it will be, that she believes in that more than anything, so hopefully:D

Keep the faith with the house Victory, anything can happen. Crossed fingers for you. Sorry the free listing day didn't work out, I've now reached £1,300 (and still counting) since January so although it's a lot of effort it's well worth it to me. Maybe the market was saturated during that week :(

Congrats on the treadmill success Raphael! Blisters not good though, were you wearing new trainers by any chance?

THanks KPC and Delly for encouraging me not to go for weigh-in this week, It has just become a thing with me that I go every week almost obsession like!

Iknow I've lost an awful lot of weight this week as I always check on the home scales. I'm still at home today as haven't been clear for 24hrs yet and that's what they ask for before you return to work. I managed some toast and honey yesterday and a clear soup so starting to get back to normal.

I've just realised that I'm not going to be at work till Monday now :j as my boss has texted me reminding me that I booked tomorrow off as leave:D So I will keep my plans and go to the Ideal home show with my free tickets!

cuffie- good luck with RC it's the only diet that I feel has really retrained my food thinking I've lost just over 4 stone since August (not including this week)
and find the new portion pots incredibly helpful with family mealtimes.

Suggs - glad you had a great time in HK not that I'm jealous or anything...much. Just have to say that I think it's great that everyone feels able to post gains as well as losses.

bails - don't go disappearing on us will you!
    Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j

Victory and Missyg, I have had some good results on Ebay, starting selling my old rugby shirts, Polo Shirts and T Shirts, some of which I bought and maybe only wore once or twice. I also sold a PDA and a mobile phone, Around £200 worth so far. and I still have more clothes like 4 suits, jeans, trousers etc that I guess are too heavy to ebay? So will, as normal, give some to the local Hospice shop, they had 5 black bags already.

What amazes me is that today I have two identical polo shirts selling an hour apart and the second one is going for 3 times the first one

Welcome Cuffie, nice to have you on board!

Thanks guys for the Ebay chat, I've just posted on the 4K about how much of a bore I find it - when you put it as £1300 Missy it seems a whole lot more appealing! :rotfl:
Victory, keep the faith with the house - we lost 2 houses last year that I thought I couldn't live without, and yet the one we have now bought is is much more perfect! Everything happens for a reason.

...Welcome to our lovely little group cuffie welcoehithernicetomeetybl7.gifand well done on rejoining RC, to me that's the hardest step out the way, I hope you have a good first week ready for next weeks WI :j Your story relates to many of us here, so you aren't alone!...

...pppenguin I lost my weight the same way that you're doing, ie calorie counting, food diary and step counter, I hope yu have the same success as me :j ...

...I've registered with ebay, but when I see what some stuff goes for I'm not too hurried to put anything on at the moment. DD has a couple of things on at present, she showed me how to go about uploading pics, listing the details etc but when I see what some of the items go for I'm not too eager to list anything at present. I may do some buying though ;) ...

There was some debate here a short while ago about the supposed benefits of drinking a lot of water. I came across an article in todays Telegraph based on findings by kidney specialists in the US which debunks the myths including appetite suppressant. The only instances they could come across where additional water was needed was people in hot dry climates and athelets.

I've never been an advocate for the benefits of 2 ltrs a day, besides the fact that my bladder would never allow it :D but I'm all for letting people make their own mind up. To me it's a case that if you think it does you good then it will, I can certainly think of worse things.

If anyone is interested then here is the link - The health 'myth' of having eight glassses of water a day

Bails I've found doing the listings a right chore this week too :p I usually break it down into tasks and do one task per day, i.e. Day 1: Find items. Day 2: Photograph them. Day 3: Do descriptions. Day 4: Work out postage etc. Sometimes if I have similar items I group them into "lots" and make it easier that way :)

My ebaying completely cancelled out the associated costs of my 'free' holiday (with change :p) which included: Complete ski outfits (decent brand) & accessories and a week's worth of snow/warm outfits for 2 including footwear, travel insurance, 'meet & greet' airport parking, all spending money and equipment rental. Worth it? DEFINITELY :D Next time will be a lot cheaper too as we'll have all the gear as long as I maintain my size ;)

Even if I'm making £30 a go that's more than a week's worth of groceries in our household. I am going to run out of things to sell soon though. Not sure what I'll do then
