:rotfl: Taking it a day at a time vix:D . Really chuffed you had such a good time - the weather was fab on Saturday for you. Don't worry bails, bb will come to the rescue:A . Most tourists don't know about the delicious North Laine and just head for 'The Lanes' (which are good too). 'Tickled' which vix refered to earlier is a tasty little pink and fluffy shop with er... womens needs in mind:D . Men only allowed if accompanied by a woman.
Suggs - I know I've seen your photos before but they are truely amazing, or rather you are truely amazing.
I have spent the afternoon speechless with joy with my lush aubergine (aka purple)chair that arrived today.
Still no news on the job front for Mr bb so it's beginning not to look good:rolleyes: .
Retiredlady - it's great to hear you so positive. Do join in more, it would be lovely to hear from you more often.
Had a rotten few days with 8hr long blinding headaches for 3 days, chronic nausea and dizzyness. Horrid drug side effects that are more deblitating than the arthritis. Not fun. Just beginning to feel myself again now but don't know how long it will last.
Starlight - so glad things are looking up for you. The exercise can only be good so well done for getting going. The results WILL show, so don't let up.
Dragon - ever sympathy -if these headaches persist I'll have to go back on medication that makes me put on weight. NOt a happy thought.
Good luck for your OH's interview on wednesday Victory. I know you are still having to wait for news yourself too and hope you are doing ok
Just seen the doggy photo - I want one, I want one,I want one.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

KPC: Trouble is 21 years of feeling inferiror, unimportant and a piece of poo on your family's shoes is quite a confidence killer! umongst other problems.

retiredlady: what breed? Lookes poodley. My boyfriends dogs are jack russel mixed with poodle. They are adorable!

He is a Bichon Frise - ideal for people with allergies as they don't shed! They don't have hair, they have wool and he does sometimes look like a little lamb!

Well Hi again, and thanks for the welcome

So my weigh in date in Monday - (suits my OH). So this morning weighed in and was down to just under 16.11 so that's a loss of 1lb this week is that font too big ??? and 18lb in all since I started late January.

    Mark
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

BB sorry to hear you are not feeling too good, I take all sorts of tablets also for the arthritis and I am sure that the ones I take make it worse rather than better:rolleyes: the docs says no.

    mark well done:D

Leaving an answering machine message on the breast screening hospital number this morning, if they have the results they ring you back, today is the day the doc said to ring so I am.

H is having his interview tomorrow, our house, location, the kids schools the wage, everything depends on his getting the job so no pressure:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: poor man, he has had his suit dry cleaned, his hair cut, cleaned his shoes, been very nervous, there are 2 going for the job so it is 50/50 but if he gets this job we can settle, if the other guy gets it it is move, upheaval, for us:rolleyes:

oh bb, i really hope you are feeling better soon, you do so well to cope with your illness.

car is in for a service today so mum is chauffeuring mt around my store visits for work. Keeping EVERYTHING crossed that it won't bankrupt me! I normally weigh in today but mum doesn't have scales so it will have to be tomorrow - after the victorian chop house feast.

    don't hold your breath folks!

Thanks for the new thread Suggs! Hope your head is feeling better and congrats on the win at the weekend.

Vix, glad you had a great weekend :D

Dragon, you did very well this week considering how things were at midweek.

Marion, it will be great to hear more from you! I'd love to know where you went for your long trip to Canada. I used to go quite often and I've spent a lot of time there myself. The last time I rented a motorcaravan and explored the Rockies with just me and my son and it was fantastic :D

Starlight, as others have said that's probably just your muscles getting into shape, which is GREAT news! A fit & active person may well weigh a bit more than someone who doesn't do any exercise but they could still be the same measurements/dress size (if that makes sense).

BB so sorry to hear about your bad few days, was hoping you wouldn't get another setback ever (or if that's unrealistic, at least not so soon). Sounds like the new chair must have cheered you up a bit though :D

No official weigh in from me this week as I'm off the chart now, but although I have gained a bit I am still under target. Having a strict week this week though as that's 2 gains in a row.

It's not as bad as the hit I've taken on my "spend £5k less" challenge, thanks to kitting ourselves out for our free skiing holiday! ;) I don't think Martin would be very pleased with me this week :o

Brighton belle do hope you are soon feeling better. Sounds really horrible.

Retired Lady You know your little dog - are they really that good for people with allergies? My daughter suffers terribly with ecezema and asthma and we've only been able to have a rabbit as it was kept outdoors.
However, my 17 year old son has despertely wanted a dog for ages and we would have got him one except we didn't think it was fair on my daughter when she is back from uni. as she only has to go in someone's house with a pet and her eyes start streaming and wheezing.
I wonder if a little dog like this might be the answer.

Thanks for your good wishes peeps. It is very discouraging. Bit of a sad morning all round - Mr BB didn't get the job - a bit gutting as they were interviewing 5 people for 3 posts.Goodluck with the phone call Victory.Well done Mark. I've read about India Knight's weightloss/method in the online Times and have been really interested. If I hadn't been very happy and doing well on Slimming World I may have given it a try. It's great that your whole family is benefitting.Off to do some online research on my bro's new (old )house now, as a moving presie - census returns and the like. The purple button isn't working. Well, that sums up our morning really...Still the sun is shining, the sky is blue. Perhaps we'll force ourselves out this afternoon for tea and cake.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
