Thanks nessa really quite annoyed with myself at the mo because come on I should be doing cartwheels in the living room (well a few decades ago I would have done:rotfl: :rotfl: ) I am certainly not behaving like a lady with good news:rotfl: stupid woman that I am, surely I should be having the best time now:D anyway off for a bath no more bleeping from me, happy face on and move along now:rotfl: :rotfl: it makes you wonder if it had been bad news:rotfl: I am off to have a long talk with myself;)

That's just the point Victory deep down you were sure it was going to be bad news and you were steeling yourself for that and the thought of having to cope with it.

Now thank god it is good news your body is allowed to relax and release all of those pent up emotions (and believe me they were there) and you will not be happy and doing cartwheels (I wish :D ) straight away and you brain is now trying to deal with the whatif's that are whizzing around it.

Honestly give it time and you will be jumping through hoops about it all, for a short while anyway and then real life will set in and it will then be kinda but not quite a distant memory.

I hope just some of that makes sense

Suggs & KPC whilst the Catholic Church is celebrating the Feast of St. Patrick ( a holy day of obligation - which means you have to go to Mass) us Irish are still celebrating their national holiday on Monday. (I'm off work and taking DS to the local parade for the first time)

KPC I do agree that the celebrations can be a bit much sometimes -especially in America, when I lived there I got so fed up being told oh I'm 1/4 irish.... get lost and go and make your own traditions will ya. As for celebrating St. George's day, you guys aren't making enough of a fuss about not having a national holiday etc about it. Over here we have at least 2 more than you guys. In addition to the usual holidays (and for the sake of peace/equality/ blah blah blah ) our public holidays include 17th March and 12th July the celebration of the winning of the Battle of the Boyne by William of Orange over King James.

Marion - had a great laugh at your funeral story - I'm glad you've stopped lurking and are sharing with us. Congrats on reaching nearly 100lb off. I bet you feel miles better than you di.

VICTORY - really happy to hear your good news. Just relax and allow yourself to feel the things you were clearly suppressing for the last couple of weeks. And good luck with quitting
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.

That water thing - 4l!?!?!?!?!? thats an awful lot of water. I'm managing 1.5l which still has me running to the loo every five minutes - i'd probably drown myself if i drank 3 litres.

Nah me neither. Max I can do is 2 litres. Thank goodness for a downstairs loo thats all I can say.

After a gain of 1/2lb last weigh in I am gonna see if the extra water does help.

And here I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that. I actually went to the wrong funeral once. :o It was at the crematorium and I was late arriving so just slipped in through the door and took a seat at the back. I then noticed that I didn't recognise anyone in the room and started getting several strange looks from the rest of the congregation, obviously trying to figure out who I was! I knew I was in the wrong one when I saw the coffin with Grandad written with flowers - I was supposed to be at a womans funeral.

So there I sat, pondering on what to do! There were only about 15 other people there and they were all glancing back at me. Obviously wondering who I was, why was I there and how did I know the deceased! I didn't want to embarass myself by waiting till the end and explaining my mistake so when the music started at the end of the service I slipped out.

To this day I often think of the family members wondering if Grandad had a bit on the side!!

    Goodnight all
    Marion

HAHAHAHA. What a wicked story, that defo sounds like the kinda thing i would do. I bet the dead grandad had a good laugh aswell.

Guess what i bought today everyone! a HOOVER! its for my bottom drawer thats extended to the loft now. It cost £29.50 from matalan, half price! its a vax upright bagless job with a retro light at the front. Very cool. Thought that will do for when i finally move out.

I also bought a bikini and a tankini for a few quid, no need for them at all but there we go :p needed to do some shopping!!

hope everyone is ok, im off to ballroom dancing tonight. Doing the waltz - quite tricky!

Brilliant news Victory, delighted for you :D Look forward to following your progress about giving up the cigarettes now :p

Vix sorry to hear you have worries, if it's anything I can help with you know where to find me. Is it a pink hoover you got to go with your new camera?! Have fun tonight.

Welcome to the thread Frugal Fifer, hope you enjoy it!

Suggs have a great time at Twickers! Congrats on the 1 year anniversary and on the ebay success :D In case I don't get chance to say it later (busy week coming up), I hope you have a wonderful time in Hong Kong and I'll look forward to hearing about it on your return.

Purplecatlover - hope someone can give you some advice soon about what to say to the GP. When I measure out my pasta and rice I use the values for the uncooked weights - I know that's not exactly what you asked :p

Been sorting out money again today, I had a savings bond mature yesterday (felt like a proper windfall!) so I've had a thorough review of what to do with that and the rest of the savings. Hopefully done the right thing with my reinvesting choices but you never really know do you?

Have a great weekend everyone x
