i was up early too - had a lie in for a whoel hour and got up at 0700. Doing lots of bits of things - tackled the mending pile, started cleaning cos the house is filthy. . . oh and typing this on my shiny new laptop! unsurprisingly, no drinks are allowed near it and my work laptop is now 'clean' if they want to start having a pop - no internet links related to dorrstep deli, no files of any kind.
was trying to find a way of paying for it via my clubcard plus but i don't have the cash to draw out and load on so it went of hte amazon card - so thats clubcard points, amazon points and a shedload of schools vouchers to keep my friend happy. OH is away so I can eat things he doesn't like all day - so today the asparagus open ravioli recipe from this months sw and tomorrow it's fishy fish all the way yay! back to the vacuuming now, hope you're all having a great day. V impressed at all this enthusiasm about exercise, it must be the time of year. Tagz, where do you keep your crosstrainer? I got as far as picking one out and then realised that i really don't have the space for one.0 -

Very quick one, just spent a couple of hours in the garden digging out our front triangle which is 70% overgrown with Bamboo!!
Welcome to MollymopGreat bunch of people here, including Ajax, Hello Mate
Well done to KymRob, great result for you, Tagz good to hear about the jogging, even more so as your doing it outside. Well done
Wendy, take it easy, follow missy's advice, never overdo it, perhaps get a check from the GP or Physio first?
Right off for a shower, all hot and sticky
Have a great weekend all

I've read a few pages and have decided this is the thread I most need to be on.
I'm goin to weigh myself first thing on Monday and start from there. This weekend will be spent clearing my cupboards of tempting foods and passing them on to my sis.I will work out a menu plan for next week to get me started too.I'm hoping for lots os support. My first couple of weeks are usually easy then I loose interest.
I'm giving myself little targets.I'd like to loose 2 stone initially or fit comfortably in a pair of jeans have.I can get them on now but I don't look very appealing IYKWIM.!
My fridge is full of fruit and always is so I will make up a fruit dish everyday so it's there handy for me to pick on should I get hungry.
I've been to many weight classes over the years and know lots of slimming tips and recipes so I plan to use these and just eat 3 meals per day with a mid morning snack and a mid afternoon snack.
I might come on over the weekend and post this weeks menu plan so you can all check it out if thats ok with you all.Just so I know I'm on the right track.
My exercise bike has come out of the corner and I plan to walk more this week.I don't drive and walk most places but I will make the effort just to go "out for a power walk".
I'm so looking forward to this.I'm ready for the off
ps.I have a bottle of rose wine and some choc raisins that just have to be consumed tonight sorry kids at their dads and it's been planned all weeklost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Well done MollyMop you sound very enthusiastic and have a good plan to start you off! Don't worry we'll definitely be here for you once the 'easy' two weeks have passed - the support here really is awesome :T
Great result Kym, and also to Tagz and Raph on the running efforts - Missy is right, the first mile or 10 mins is the worst, once you get past that the rhythm kicks in as Raph said. You may not believe me now but once you get past those first 10 mins you can learn to run foreverIn my experience the 10 mins never go away, but the anticpiation of the exhiliration of the rest of the run will see you through it time and time again :T

Thanks everyone!
Have been feeling very smug with myself about the running!
Been out in the garden doing some weeding (I really need a flame thrower!).
KPC - I keep my crosstrainer in the kitchen. We recently had the kitchen rebuilt and took the opportunity to extend it so have put it in front of the back doors. Yesterday had the doors open, so was on it looking out into the garden with a lovely breeze coming in. Perfect!
Ohh Mollymop the wine and choc raisins sound good. Can you throw a few choc raisins my way?I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
