Ooh, it's about 11 so sending Mr V loads of good vibes right now! I can imagine exactly how he's feeling - I've always been lucky enough to get each job I went for but now when I think about going for an interview in the future, I feel sick to the stomach. That's why I'm praying a job comes up at this school so I can be (slightly) more relaxed about it. Granny, can I pick your brain when the time comes please? :D
I agree with you Delly, the problem is that lots of people don't differentiate, they just hear you're on benefits and assume you're a waster. It's been SUCH an eye-opener having to go through this and see how often you can be treated like a second class citizen. It also frustrates me that at 49 Mr BB is potentially considered 'too old' - so demeaning and unfair. I really, really hope that he and your lodger's OH can find something BB.
Grannynice, it's 0.5lb ON for me this week, with a total of 9.5lbs lost. Yes, I know why  and should be grateful it's not more really, but can't help feeling fed up; long story.

Well done to all the losers this week and a special fab well done to Beanie, that's brilliant and I'm really pleased for you! :T
Right, I might go and blow my 4K budget now and do some (charity) retail therapy, instead of eating for a change! Have a lovely day everyone, the sun is out xx

Sending lots of friendly hugs and good luck vibes to those who need them though. Hope everyone has a fab day.

a sts this week please granny. Sorry, all colour, smilies and font enlarger still won't work. Thanks for thoughts on interview techique (much appreciated)-trouble is, I know all this, and generally suceed at interviews.(haven't had that many!) Yes he has already asked for feedback. Yes he tailed app to job and we practised questions and tieing in experience. Yes he been to agencies - nada. He's failed to even get interviews for several post for organisations he's done years of voluntary work for, and his application was prechecked by the university. It's just difficult. But thanks for the care and concern and practical suggestions. I won't let him give up. Besides he looks scrummy in a suit and an interview day is the only time I see him in one:)Good luck to Mr V - all fingers crossed. And victory - hope today is a little better. Really feel for you breaking down in tears - that is pure stress and totally normal reaction but it is horrid to live with. lots of hugs xx

i shall weigh in tomorrow after a wee and a poo, while naked after brushing my hair to get rid of a few hairs, might even trim downstairs and shave my legs! :p

Remember to shave the eyebrows, and head as well, everybit counts, failing that you could scrub all the dead skin cells off to! :rotfl:

here's a pickle, I had a big meeting at work today, and got a buffet ordered from the local deli. but I knew it would be sarnies and pastries so bought in my lunch bag with a couple of sausages, tomatoes and a boiled egg, and snuck away to eat it.

I had to laugh though, as when I started eating a tomato garnish people started having a go for me and my appetite :rotfl:

Mark I had encountered this before, and my stock response has always been...."at least I know the tomato isnt covered in full fat mayo" Keep at it, your on the right path, just some people do not appreciate your journey just yet.

I feel so full of cold today, no still not manflu, but I do feel congested! More Coffee methinks!

Well it worked and thank you because HE GOT THE JOB:j :j :j :j :j he has just rang me to tell me that he had the interview in a huge room with 5 interviewers, the moment he walked in (having heavily rehearsed questions and answers) the first question was 'tell me about yourself' he said he was a bit thrown but started slow but well, each interviewer scores him out of 3 , he had the interview, thanked them left the room and one of the men came running after him to tell him he had scored 3 out of 3 from all of them and out of the 9 (he was told there was only 2 but there was 9) he was by far the best and they would like to offer him the job:j :j

He is very pleased and I am ecstatic for my son as he is sitting his sats and choosing his options and was very unhappy about having to move schools which would have been very disruptive for him and unsettling but we won't have to now, or at least not straight away.

It is about time there was some good news in this house for a change.
