Determined to do a Suggs and lose the weight I need to. Especially after watching Air Crash Investigation on Discovery last night which was quite scary they work on an average Passenger weight of 200lbs on the small planes that I use a lot and there have been guys on there a lot bigger than me. Thankfully yet to be on a full one. But for Thursdays trip I am now on the Train !! not taking the chance.
sjc, funny that I watched the same episode, the average weight is now 200lb and thats only on the airline in the programme (Mid West Aitlines??) But the weights used during the crash was an average weight of 175lb and that figure had been in use since 1935
Keep at the weight loss, the hard thing is to get yourself over the first few hurdles, then once your in the routine, it helps alot. Use this thread to your advantage. Plenty of people, mainly ladies here to help, listen and adviseProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Oh peeps, there's a lot of lovely folks on here going through it at the mo - sending extra special hugs to Victory, Mr V, Mr BB, BB, GN and DD, Dragon :grouphug:. Good luck for the job interviews this week - I hope Mr BB hears something back and that Delly's and Mr V's go as well as possible.
What always cheers me up about this thread is how wonderfully supportive and caring everyone is - BB is right, just acknowledging how people feel is exactly what's needed.
I hope tomorrow is a brighter day for everyone xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

BB: She's 40. Only 9 years younger. It may be worth a try, nothing to lose and all that. He still has a good 15 years in him.
Its debenhams megaday tomorrow so i bought ski socks, boxers, two pack bra, a cami and knicker set, a pack of 5 knickers, suspender belt, bra and knicker set and some aristoc stockings. Came to £41! Would have cost a fortune because the stockings were £7, the bra was £16, the boxers were £12 before they got reduced so it was bargains all the way! (although i could have done without it all!)
Suggs: Not liking the sound of your head! Hope that heals ok.0 -

That's good vix, her being 40. I agree with you totally: everything is worth a try. I am the proactive 'go for it' / 'have a try' type and know my OH has loads to offer and plenty of life left. It's just convincing him and an employer of that. He's a slow burner type- his true worth emerges over time, he's not a 'wow' person, so in an interview, others can shine brighter than him fairly easily I think. I of course think he's the bees knees:) My lodger's OH is early 40's and have been job hunting for 7 months with no sucess and he's prepared to turn his hand to anything: from postie to IT. Another good bloke and a hard worker but no one wants him so far. Lost count of the applications he's done. It's been a real eye opener.Beanielou - 3.5lbs!!!! That is fantastic girlie. Well. done. you.Oooh I am missing my smilies, dunno what's gone wrong --no purple either. Trauma!I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

here's a pickle, I had a big meeting at work today, and got a buffet ordered from the local deli. but I knew it would be sarnies and pastries so bought in my lunch bag with a couple of sausages, tomatoes and a boiled egg, and snuck away to eat it.
I had to laugh though, as when I started eating a tomato garnish people started having a go for me and my appetite :rotfl:I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
